Tesla FSD Subscription Could Come in Q2

Great that they are offering a Subscription... but I have fully paid for FSD in my 2018 Model 3 and new hardware version 3 computer but the software is still not there. How long do we need to wait for the updates to get delivered. I see videos of people using it... but I actually lost...

Advice for charging with non-use Tesla

I noticed a Model 3 at the Chinese giga factory video has a new charge port? What are we seeing here?

Tesla Adjusts Supercharging Cost To Include Vehicle Use While Charging

Superchargers in Texas seem to charge by the minute but that said some are much faster than others. Huntsville Texas is very fast and Corsicana is pretty slow by comparison. As far as I know there are two rates in the Dallas area... sometimes on a single supercharger station. Maybe it depends...

"Acceleration Boost" option, discussion as to which models and how much quicker

Late 2018 Tesla Model 3 FSD Dual Motor AWD (which accelerates just fine by the way) Since I am not racing new corvettes I'll just keep the $2,000 they wanted of 0.5 second. It is only once in a blue moon when I might find it actually be handy.

Check Out the Cybertruck Promo Photos

Ok thought it was pretty weird looking.. But after looking at it a few times it looks pretty interesting. Then as others have stated futuristic. I don't know if it is an Edsel or a classic form that will last for generations, yet. But I'm thinking that if the execution is as good as Tesla...

The four cameras saved me $1000 and my driving record...

Great comment. My wife has warned me that somebody was not driving right a few times. Once a guy crossed two lanes of traffic to get off at an exit in front of me, no signal of course. I was probably doing 10 mph faster than him and had just started to slow down based on her warning. The...

Is the current NoA helpful or harmful?

My experience is that NoA is not good in heavy traffic (Rush hour) in Dallas Texas. With moderate to light traffic it work fine. I have a 10 mile highway run I do 2-4 times a day. The three problems I noticed are: 1. Large trucks encroaching on my lane cause the T3 to brake hard even if the...

Free unlimited supercharging vs (paying for) installing charger at home...

For the 60 amp breaker you want to use 80% for the load. or 48 Amps not 55. 48 Amps is the maximum for a 75 kva Tesla Model 3 So 48 Amps and a 60 Amp breaker are correctly matched. #6 wire could be 55, 65 or 75 Amps. You need to derate for the breaker not the wire.

Free unlimited supercharging vs (paying for) installing charger at home...

This gets complicated fast. Cost I hired an electrician to put in a new sub panel in my house and rewire part of the old panel to get 240 votes 100 amps to the sub panel. That cost me $1,114 for the panel and the plug. Then the Tesla charger was $500 and $38 for a pig tail from the charger...

Largest concern about buying a model 3

I'd hate to see Tesla collapse, but it could happen... but what if then some smart guy come along and figures out how to build a new battery pack, and another guy can rebuild motors, and they figure out how to replace the display with an iPad Pro? The thing is, what about now. I love driving...

Blog Tesla Says a Fix for Insurance is Weeks Away

I was stunned when my insurance went up by 80% when I got the Tesla. The original estimate was just a little more than my Lexus. But, it certainly doesn't seem justified by the NHSTA numbers in the article. It would be interesting to see the actual data on the repair cost for the Tesla as...

The effect of rain on range

I just took my first road trip in the TESLA and noticed that my range was less than expected. It meant a little additional time charging... Conservative planning, so I started thinking about why. If you walk down the street there might be some wind that pushes back or helps you along...

    Cost of Fuel Equivalent

I knew the guy that sent it to me was an engineer [EE] and I think he was just tweaking me with some drivel from the internet He actually replied that he hoped I enjoyed my Tesla and fully grasped the the misleading and erroneous nature of the attack. That said I don't know how your comment...
