Has My Tesla Had A Service?

It would fail the MOT if the braking performance wasn’t in tolerance levels. So if the fluid was bad, it could have an impact

New MY Colours from today. Cherry Red and Quick Silver

Stealth grey on the Highland M3 in the UK

    Model 3 Highland Insurance

I have a 2021 SR+ with the 5.3s 0-60 time. My V5 says 302 so I can only assume the RWD with the 5.8s times come with the 279 motor.

    Model 3P resale prices

Cars last more than 3 years, heck they last beyond 10 years. I see cars that are 20 years old, I’m seeing Porsche 996, BMW M3 E46, E55 AMGs and I’m thinking they would be lovely to own for a few years, maybe as a keeper. And here we all are, stressing because our Tesla is turning 3 years old...

    Model 3P resale prices

I paid for mine outright, if I sell now, it would cost me £10k per annum depreciation. If I kept it until it was 10 years old and assume a zero residual value then my annual depreciation drops to £4k per annum on average. So this is alot more palatable, assuming maintenance continues to be at a...

Wiki UK and Ireland Supercharger Site News

I could be wrong but I saw somewhere that the v4 chargers don’t contain as much copper and therefore not attractive enough to be stolen.

Model 3 Performance 0 to 60 time in Chill Mode

I prefer driving in chill mode, I can be less accurate on the one pedal driving, especially in and around London.

Hankook not available in UK until March!!

I would check Black Circles etc, they may have stock even though Tesla or Hankook say there are no supplies

Wiki UK and Ireland Supercharger Site News

From what I can see, we have had around 20 new sites for the past 3 years or so? Given the number of additional Tesla cars sold (and rollout to non-Tesla’s), they ought to be ramping up SUC rollouts to more than 20 p.a.

    EV servicing costs

Seems like Tesla has changed their position on the brake fluid to every 4 years now.

    EV servicing costs

That’s a bargain. I’ve been quoted for 2 year service: Brake callipers lubrication service £119 Wheel rotation £40 Brake fluid check £17 cabin filters £49 + VAT Total £270 I challenged them on the cost of the wheel rotation since the wheels are off for the calliper service and it’s just a...

M3 LR 22 model (windscreen wipers)

You can Programme the steering wheel buttons as a shortcut to change the wiper speed or press the left stalk button to swipe the wipers once and this will also bring up the windscreen speed menu.

    Trade in value

Well, apparently the LFP battery in the later SR+ and RWD cars are rated, dare I say it, 1 million miles? They are designed for longer life cycles anyway, whether it’s 1m or not, even if you half this figure, it’s still 500k miles.

    Trade in value

Have a watch of this, I’m sure these model S cars were 30k-40k around 12-24 months ago, now struggling to make 15k in a recent BCA auction excluding fees. Tesla’s in BCA auction I assume these are falling in value faster as they approach 8 years old on the warranty

    Fronts Windscreen keeps steaming up

I leave the AC permanently on, even when heating up the cabin. Having said that, it’s the rear window that tends to steam up on my car and the rear demister takes ages.
