    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

I was on the fence about EAP at time of order, but decided to wait and add it later if I decided I wanted it to save paying an extra $102 in stamp duty. Not sure why anyone would buy it before delivery and pay more stamp duty.

I used Summon a couple of times today to move the car in and out of the garage while I was working in there and all sweaty. I also gave auto lane change a crack on the way to work this arvo. Both are cool, but still not sure if they're $5,100 cool. I guess I have a month to play with it and...

No, it seems everyone is getting it for a month starting on 22 or 23 December. Hopefully you get your car before the trial period is over.

Well, maybe I should have used a checklist at delivery. I missed some transit damage to the sideskirts, which I only saw today when I sat on the garage floor to put my shoes on before mowing the lawn. I checked the bumpers but missed the sideskirts as it was parked between two other cars. To...

I have sent people achieve this with S3XY Buttons, but I don't think it's worth the cost. I'll just get used to it. I won't be charging every day for my commute. Getting tint and ceramic coating at Attention to Detail in Garbutt. They have experience in Teslas and own a Model 3 themselves. They...

Not the charge door, but the charge port/socket. It won't release the plug unless you unlock it. The Tesla chargers have a button on the plug that unlocks the port, but third party chargers don't have that feature.

Oh, and I discovered a UMC in the lower boot today. Tesla told me it wouldn't come with one because of my order date. Lovely surprise.

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

I did have a good walk around looking for damage outside and inside before signing the CEVA paperwork. I think I have a pretty good eye for detail and it all looked pretty good. I didn't use a checklist or anything like that. Surprisingly, Autopilot had calibrated well before I made it from...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

CEVA called and said my car would be delivered the following day between 10 and 12. I requested to collect it sooner from the depot as that window was close to when I needed to leave for work. They said they required written authorisation from Tesla and would send them an email. I called Tesla...

There are a number of solutions. Personally, I have a MyEnergi Zappi set to Eco+ mode, which will only use excess solar to charge the car. I have set an export limit of 200W so it will not start charging unless there is at least 200W going to the grid. This prevents it draining my house battery...

It's great. Even at 4:15pm on an overcast day I had enough excess solar to get a bit of charge into it when I got home. It had 96% when I picked it up but I went the very long way home and got down to 80%.

My car has arrived at the CEVA depot. I finish work in 27 minutes and am heading straight there to pick it up 😁

Nothing yet. Hoping to receive a call from the driver tomorrow, but they said I may not hear from them until Wednesday. Hopefully it's delivered in the morning on Wednesday; I have to start work at 2pm.
