Hoping. LA/CA has usually never had VIN to delivery more than 2~3 days.

so similar stuff with me today. Got a call from tesla saying that my car wasn't yet in LA even though i was asked to schedule a delivery date on Friday 3/25 for delivery Tuesday 3/29 after getting the VIN on 3/21. Now they pushed delivery date to 3/30. Communication sucks.

Yes! and average truck time even to San Diego is still under 12hrs. Tesla seriously needs to work on being a lot more transparent in their communication with customers.

Wait. What??? I thought you could only schedule delivery date when the car was on its way to the DC.

Just text the delivery center. I've been through similar. It's highly unusual for SoCal deliveries to take so long after VIN but this also EOQ and they probably sent out VINs earlier than usual to make sure that customers WANT to take delivery. I also got VIN on 21 but received text yesterday...

For those that just took delivery and got the car earlier than initial scheduled delivery date, when did you guys pay the down payment. As soon as scheduling delivery or sometime just before actual delivery?

Just for information, what's the charge level % on the car when they drop it off.

It's most definitely gonna happen before Wednesday for sure. They need their EOQ numbers.

Just got the text to schedule delivery. They are dropping the car off here. Scheduled for 3/29. Earliest available date and slot.

There's a bunch of cars at giga Austin with 19" wheels. If I were Tesla, I'd ship those wheels back to freemont to make EOQ numbers bigger !

Speaking of disappointment, I've had a VIN since 3/21 and my EDD just changed to 3/29-4/4. It's still almost within the previous window but scarily close to EOQ date.

their handling of orders and customer service just freaks me out. I am constantly checking to make sure my VIN doesn't disappear. Just want this to be over for all of us in the September pool.

What??!! but you already have a VIN. What range is it? I have a VIN as well assigned on 3/21 and both Tesla Insurance as well as Geico had the car information based on the VIN number. Also, from what I understand, a manufacturer cannot assign a VIN to a car and customer if it cannot be built...
