I bought my first Tesla sight unseen from Tesla's used inventory on April 5th 2023. It's a late 2016 Model S 90D (registered Dec 29th, 2016) in pearl white metallic with some nice upgrades including MCU2, enhanced autopilot, and dark grey 21" rims.

Having flown north to collect it, I then drove it back over 400 miles - in constant heavy rain and mostly after dark - from the Tesla dealership in Glasgow, Scotland to my home in Cardiff, Wales. Prior to that, I'd had only a 30-minute test drive in a Model Y, but had never once driven a Model S. Being totally unfamiliar with the car - and having had virtually no instruction during the Glasgow handover - it was most definitely a baptism of fire!

Anyway, I thought I'd learned a fair bit about these cars before deciding to take the plunge and actually buy one. Almost two weeks later, however, I realise just how much more there is to learn. I'm hoping, therefore, that joining this club will allow me to learn from others with more experience and if, eventually, I feel I have something to offer - hopefully make some contributions of my own to the various forums.
