    Tire wear and lowering M3P

Hi @gearchruncher, I had a very detailed alignment done last Friday after the UCA's went in and the car is right in spec for everything. It's a bit of a surprise as I've heard some passing comments here & elsewhere that even stock M3P's eat front tires somewhat rapidly. I don't know how this...

    Tire wear and lowering M3P

Just throwing my $0.02 in here, I have a 2020 M3P with the MPP Sport Coilover suspension. I also have MPP camber & toe arms on the rear, running 275/30/20 on the rear. Up front I'm running stock tires on aftermarket 9" wide wheels. The car is lowered as far as my shop (The Driveway in San Jose...

Pic of your Model 3.......RIGHT NOW! [model 3 pictures thread]

@GoldenGate3 I'll take some more pics after a good wash. I had the coilovers & alignment done at The Driveway in San Jose. Great guys who are very knowledgeable about Teslas. They were recommended by MPP. Cheers, /TCP

Why are the wheels spinning on the screen?

I had the "wheel spinning" effect happen to me on Saturday in my 2020 M3P. No visualizations were degraded, I was in Park, unmoving, and I can't for the life of me figure out what triggered it... /TCP

    Coronavirus

Shucks, nope, didn't actually see you, but glad to hear we've both achieved full (vaccine) membership status :D. I got my pic taken with The Man as well haha. Also sounds like we had identical 2nd-dose symptoms. I was expecting worse based on what I'd heard from friends/neighbors, so I'll...

    Coronavirus

My spouse & I got our 2nd doses of Pfizer yesterday at the local community center. Localized arm pain and some mild lethargy has been about the extent of symptoms. @TEG I gotta ask, I'm wondering if you got your 2nd dose too? There was a Nissan Leaf in the parking lot with the personalized plate...

@nametaken No, I had it done at The Driveway in SJ, CA. Excellent knowledge & service and I highly recommend them if you're local. /TCP

My 2020 M3P, just finished putting on Avant Garde M590's, custom powder coated. Also installed the MPP Sport Coilovers, camber arms and toe arms and dropped the ride height by 1.5". The car is now amazing to drive, the new suspension fixes my only gripe about the car - the stock mushiness on...

M3P - Who switched from a (true) sports car?

Got it, thanks @MasterC17. I had it backwards; I thought camber was what caused excessive edge wear. /TCP

    Coronavirus

    Yep....and in the heat, too!

Ditto for my wife & I. Are you in the bay area? Perhaps we were at the same community center :D. /TCP

M3P - Who switched from a (true) sports car?

@butterscotch if you're tracking the car, you might want to look into Mountain Pass Performance Front Upper Control Arms as they will give you very easy camber adjustment in the front. I likely won't track my car, so front camber adjustment is unnecessary for me. I will however need the rear...

M3P - Who switched from a (true) sports car?

@MasterC17 and @Mash have more or less answered your questions, but I'll add that if you elect to use a lower-than-stock ride height, the Camber arms are required. You can't get enough adjustment out of the stock camber arms to result in a correct alignment, and excessive negative camber will...

Success with Unplugged Performance Coilover Suspension Kit

What prior aftermarket components did you put in your car? Did you have a different set of aftermarket coilovers? Cheers, /TCP

M3P - Who switched from a (true) sports car?

I drove a Cadillac CTS-V Wagon for 9+ years, bought it new in 11/2011 and I LOVE that car. Noisy, torque-y and the magnetic ride suspension is underrated - it was a great match for the car. I was raised on American muscle so it just speaks to my DNA (supercharger whine, anyone?). And, like true...
