With Sentry the battery would drain a lot. Search this forum for experiences.

Checking the app often may wake the car and sometimes drain the battery, this is just an assumption! If I had known that it would wake the car but won't drain the battery much, I would have definitely checked the app often ;)

Update: Returned home and all I had to do is defrost and pre heat from the App and Drive! It had 80% battery and no drop in tire pressure! Since I turned off Sentry, I placed a wyze outdoor cam that was monitoring the car all these days, it had 75% battery left when I returned, it was actively...

Update: The brutal cold wave is over, and the battery percentage is still dropping at about 1-2% a week, now I wonder if there was any charge used for battery maintenance at cold weather (12F)

My Model Y has taken 7% charge in about 5 weeks now (Sentry OFF, parked in Car port, not plugged in)

Interesting, I'm in similar situation, my MY has been parked (not plugged in) for 3 weeks now, just lost 3%, hopefully it wont drain much as the weather gets colder in next few days (expecting 12F in Seattle) and I will be staying away for another 3 weeks.

Yes here its not much colder like the NE, but I was specifically worried about the cold wave dropping the temperatures to 12F for 2 to 3 days. Its getting better from Jan 1st though.

Update: Checked the app (2nd time in 3 weeks), just lost 1 % in about 2 weeks, so total 3% in 3 weeks, a big relief! Hopefully it can get through the bitter cold week :)

Yeah Sentry is off and just checked once in last 3 weeks. But it's so tempting to check the app to know the battery percentage.

I was never able to get that working in Android app, thought preconditioning is better in cold weather, but couldn't set the time correctly.

Android app isn't updated yet, my MY got the latest update today!

My model Y got 36.8 build today, but Android app isn't supporting live cam yet.
