Tesla infotainment system upgradeable from MCU1 to MCU2

You can try what I did - 1) Schedule an appointment via app requesting HW3 and Infotainment upgrade. They of course cancelled and said I was not eligible yet. 2) Emailed Tesla customer service asking when I would be eligible, the announcement said I should be eligible in March and I have...

    GPS not updating

Used to have this same problem with older firmware versions. Only way for me to recover was: 1) turn off mobile access 2) park car, roll down windows (SoCal Heat) 3) Close all doors, power down car. 4) Wait 3-4min after power down. Touch nothing. 5) Open driver door to power the car back up...

HW3 upgrade waiting room: All FSD Tesla’s

SoCal MS AP 2.5 - made the appointment at 8:30am via mobile app requesting the HW3 upgrade. Received a call from the service center 20min later cancelling the appointment. They informed me the FSD upgrades are still in the planning phase and their engineers do not have an ETA when they will...

Hard braking with TACC in stop-n-go traffic

No fix that I am aware of. Just kind of got used to the noise at this point. Service center informed we that it was ‘normal’.

Finally got my Blackvue mounted and working.

Went through 2 blackvue cameras, and I do not know how many SD cards myself.. eventually gave up and tossed it and am just living with the Tesla Dashcam now (miss the Audio features of Blackvue)... The cameras would eventually just keep rebooting, stop recording, or destroy SD cards (even the...

    Sentry Mode Bug

Could be related to this (see Service center note below)? I continued to have issues where Autopilot was not working, typically I noticed it after getting in my car when it was hot out.. Just got this note from the service center today. Seems Cabin Overheat Protection is glitching out.. possibly...

Problems w/ Auto High-beam dimming and Cameras

Hey! Think I finally received the answer to this problem - it seems the Autopilot computer is shutting itself down due to heat in the cabin of the car. There is a firmware bug out there, likely related to either Sentry Mode or the Tilt/Intrusion sensor that turns off the Cabin Overheat...

Problems w/ Auto High-beam dimming and Cameras

Yup! Have this same issue that occurs randomly. I have found that the problem goes away if I just put the car in park and then back into drive (works 90% of the time). Originally I had this problem a year ago and nothing would work to get the lights to turn off, or get AP back online. They...

Error | Incline too steep: parking brake may not hold

I have had no luck finding a solution, have a service appointment coming up mid May and plan to ask them about it then. For now I just make sure to engage the Parking brake (hold down park until the Red P pops up).

Error | Incline too steep: parking brake may not hold

Using iPhone measure app (hopefully semi-accurate) the steepest it gets is 18° but where I park it is 15°

Error | Incline too steep: parking brake may not hold

Hello! Wondering if anyone has experienced this error and if anything was done to correct it?. Been about a week since I received 2019.8.3, and I have started getting this error whenever parking in my driveway (which is at an incline, however have been parking the same for 2 years with no...

    Software Update 2019.8.x

2019.8.3 Here is a little clip and pic of what happens when on AP and approaching a Red Light. Apologize for the poor quality / shaky video :) Note: The light turned green at the last second and I took over just prior. Just a warning message to take over and the Speed Limit Icon changes to...

    Tracking a car during transport?

My understanding is that the GPS in the Tesla only updates when the car is in Drive. So in park, being towed, GPS will not update. Source: My experience in having the car towed and this is what Tesla Tech Support informed me.

Car constantly wakes up in Jack Mode...

In case you have not tried, Usually if I put the car into Drive, then back in park it will let me take it out of Jack mode. May be worth a shot next time if it is Greyed out on you.

Car constantly wakes up in Jack Mode...

Yes! This is occurring all the time for me. Took it into service and asked them to check, they stated it is a known firmware bug and there is nothing they can do about it now. Especially irritating when I forget to take it out of Jack mode and the car scrapes against my driveway on the way...
