    Supercharger- Claymont, DE

I saw this one yesterday too when I went to Total Wine.

Tesla hurt their own profits by putting wimpy chargers in 3's.

16,000 miles in one year with my S60D, 75 mile-per-day commute. We charge with NEMA 247 V @ 29 Amps and have never had a problem reaching whatever desired state of charge we want. Heck, most of the time we only charge every other day because we also have a Leaf. Why waste the money on the...

2015 Model S - Trunk Won't Open When Approached From Behind

This happens to my facelift Model S every single day. I've learned to live with it and approach from the side (triggering the driver's or passenger's side unlock) prior to rounding to the trunk. I would really want Tesla to fix this.

Verdict of 2016 Model S 60 Battery being top or bottom limited?

    100% S/C max for my 60D is 35 kw.

    From TDI to Tesla

VW bought mine back on Monday. Very happy.

Has anyone noticed longer time for limited regen to go away?

Same behavior here. My car was cold soaking at work for 12 hours at 20 degrees yesterday and got properly cold. I have a 35 mile commute and it wasn't until about 30 miles in that my regen totally returned.

Do you keep Creep on or off?

A thousand times off. We have a Leaf as well, and it forces you to always be on the brake in stop-and-go traffic. The MS's immensely superior accelerator control just makes everything better. Why emulate the limitations of an automatic transmission torque converter? That makes no sense.

    From TDI to Tesla

VW is buying back my 2011 Golf TDI in two weeks' time. We purchased our S60D with an eye on the proceeds. What I don't understand here is the concept of "dragging out" anyone's acceptance of the VW buyback offer. The way I see it, each day you drive is one more chance of getting in an accident...

Verdict of 2016 Model S 60 Battery being top or bottom limited?

    1. Regen is not affected at 100%. 2. You still get the annoying nag. 100% supercharging rate is 35kW, which is extremely high compared to an unlocked battery. I frequently supercharge to 100% when we're on trips because I don't like to be rushed at lunch! :D

    Does Model S 60 actually have a 75 battery?

You mean regenerative braking? It is unaffected at 100%.

    Does Model S 60 actually have a 75 battery?

For a datapoint on the limited tapering, we see approximately 35kW charging at 100% on the 60D.

    Does Model S 60 actually have a 75 battery?

Exactly this. The announcement of the 60D allowed my wife and I to buy directly in to Tesla with our Model S. Our plan had been to buy / lease a Bolt for the next three years until the Model 3s finally hit the East Coast. We needed the ~200 mile range as an upgrade from her lease-expired Leaf...

Regenerative Braking with 100% Charged Software-Limited 60 kWh Battery

With my 60D, I regularly charge to 90%. But during any kind of trip I charge to 100%, and in fact supercharge to 100% as well when we stop for a meal. (Supercharging the 60D to 100% is impressively fast, due to it really being only 80%)

Regenerative Braking with 100% Charged Software-Limited 60 kWh Battery

Dotted line means limited regeneration either because of low battery pack temperature or maximum charge. In this situation you would have little to no regenerative braking and you would have to rely on the friction of brake pads like every other car on the road. This is expected behavior and is...

Northrup Grumman (was Orbital Sciences) Antares / Cygnus

My wife and I watched from Swedesboro, NJ. It was 5-10 degrees above the horizon, and we saw the first stage burn at about T+120 seconds. Got to watch through first stage burnout, a surprisingly long coast period, second stage ignition, and about 60 seconds of second stage burn. Any successful...
