    UK Charge Point Installer Recommendations

A tethered is so much more convenient

Model 3 RWD pre delivery hangout

Yep, I have done exactly the same a few times there now. It's quite a walk to the main building, and feels about the same again to the toilets! Great charging spot though.

    UK Charge Point Installer Recommendations

It's rated "up to" 32A. The maximum output it can actually give is set automatically by whichever adapter is plugged into it. Once charging you can adjust downwards from the maximum.

Balls, just washed, clayed and waxed the car and nipped out to sandwich shop to catch before closing. Rushed the parking 😭. Any ideas of touch up paint for the aero wheels?

Model 3 RWD pre delivery hangout

I had my best run since received at end of November on Thursday. Coming back from South Coast stopped at Heathrow T5 superchargers to 95%, carried on home to Bradford at fastest legal speeds (yes there were roadworks) but I was amazed at the final result 205Wh/m. It was about 13 degrees and...

Wow nice finish! Really must give mine a clay and wax soon. Getting at the end of November was not the best time of the year to receive. Over 6000 miles already and not a drop of protection on the paint 😭. Even though it's a leased company car I still like to look after them. Getting tempted...

    Expensing EV mileage UK

On the back of that I start a week fully charged, then it's superchargers for me, or even worse the Instavolt at 75p/kWh. Normally do 400-500 miles in a week. Reckon whilst the company are paying me 5p/mile I'm susidising about £160 a month 😭

Nope. I fixed mine two years ago and am paying 18p/kWh. In a couple of months that'll be the standard rate of 33p I think. Working away all week and only being at home on a weekend it's not worth me switching to a cheaper overnight rate

Yep, currently trying to get HR to sort it. Done over 3500 business miles since the theoretical change. Although officially a company can pay the previous rate for up to a month.

Yep. That's exactly our policy. They will only pay the HMRC rates for diesel, petrol and electric. Up to us to choose a vehicle from the list that fits the needed mpg etc. Although they are still only paying 5p rate for electric, but that's a different argument 😉

I'm similar, company car, but they are still paying the old AER rate of 5p 😭. I am sure that when I looked into it you cannot claim anything else back with this scenario. Will happily be wrong though!

Does it matter what charger I pay

Definitely does not have the PEN Fault Protection. In the UK installation manual there are additional pages covering the requirements.

    Nightmare! (Supercharger queues)

Don't forget Tesla increased all their prices to reduce demand around May last year because the factories could not keep up and wait times were "too long". Now the production is better than ever they are dropping the price. Tesla still ramping up Berlin factory and planning yet another factory.

    Tesla App - Charge Stats

Biggest annoyance for me is no access to the full charge stats for lease customers 😭

Pretty much most are about 45%. My guess is a 50% charge at the factory then slow use until delivery
