    Model 3 cracked glass

Oh no, another "cracked glass" customer...bummer. I look forward to see how Telsa "tech" would analyze to determine the caused of the crack. I still have not got my replace yet...

Sentry Mode catches door dinger and saves me $1000.

Bet she learned from that lesson 1..."you will pay if you trash other people's property :)!"

    Model 3 cracked glass

Oh no...another cracked glass. Would you post some pictures so other have a better idea? Your case definitely is a "stress related defect" and so was mine. I look forward to how they will handle yours?

    Branch cracked my windshield

I would love to see a picture of the damage. If it is me, I would try Tesla, if your windshield happens to crack from the inside, they might fix it. But if the crack started on the outside, then they will most likely claimed it was by an "outside influence" and will refused to accept it...

    Model 3 cracked glass

@Syltann, I hope you have already filed a "problem" complaint through NHTSA.org, as I had. I've already filed it after in contact at all levels but Tesla still refused to accept responsibility to fix it on my Model 3. I personally think we are as conscious consumer have to make our voice heard...

Yes, it does turn color...orange when wet. Is that the UV protection color layer?

Model 3 glass roof failing - do others have this issue ?

So they pinned you to pay...why, due to caused by "outside influence" too? They charged you over $1000 in SJ and SC in Santa Clara mentioned that replacement will cost about $1300? Huh

I am curious what did they do to consider yours is caused by stress? I am also a cracked glass-top owner.

My M3 top-glass also cracked after 4 weeks new. It was obviously not an "outside influence" which they claimed therefore not responsible for it. I've noticed this is not a rare case but quite many owners, especially M3. It got to be stress/body-flex/defect/low quality glass.... I've just filed...

Anyone else has a Chip on front edge of glass roof?

    Wooo..that's a big difference, 1/2" ?

Model 3 glass roof failing - do others have this issue ?

FYI. The crack on my 1 month old M3 (Dec 24, 2019) has no visibility of any "outside influence" (Tesla's term - don't want to claim defect/design flaw...responsibilty) and they still don't accept responsibility either.... I have filed complain with NHTSA along with many other owners...I would...

Model 3 glass roof failing - do others have this issue ?

No, there is big chance Tesla won't claim responsibility for the crack. That is what happening to my Model 3, and I am fighting for it. They can't just "run a ball-point pen" over it and found the crack on the outside then claim that it was "outside influence". I don't think so... Cracking...

    Model 3 cracked glass

For one, I am not a glass expert and have not consult with one, but most members think it was due to stress/body flex/defect. So if any one of those reason applies, this will eventually affect many more owners. But if I go through my insurance and don't know if they will take on, I have to pay...
