Hopefully some positive news that matrix headlights may be enabled soon! https://www.notateslaapp.com/news/1406/tesla-model-x-set-to-receive-matrix-headlights-software-support-on-the-horizon

    Insurance

Not that far off though, bearing in mind the massive price and performance difference!

    Insurance

Yes, supposedly we’re all driving around like lunatics! Speeding convictions are a way of life if you’re a Tesla driver apparently! I really don’t understand where they get their prices from? Its not like I’m driving a Ferrari/mclaren etc!!

    Insurance

Waaaaaaat!!! Just received my insurance renewal from direct line today for my 2021 M3P. £1421 this year, compared to £850 last year!! We’ve had no accidents, claims or convictions, so nothing to justify this price hike. They said the increase was due to the number of claims and convictions by...

Farewell to Tesla, Hello Pug - until the next time.

My missus has a 6 month old Peugeot e2008 GT as our second car, to my M3P. Again I was very surprised just how good a car the pug is! Agree with the app being rubbish, but last update seems to be a big improvement on responsiveness. Many positives though and a great little car, with lots of toys...

    Spotify/tunein/maps/navigation

Same here. Set off this morning from home in Huddersfield and mapping changes to blank grey tiles around south Leeds. Over the weekend it did it from south Leeds all the way to the east coast. Did a 2 button reset at the coast and all was fine on the return journey. Yet this morning same again...

    [UK] 2023.2.x

First proper drive today with 2023.2.12. As I approached south leeds a massive area of the map changed to the dreaded grey tiles. Parked up in leeds and locked the car. Set off back again an hour or so later. Still a map full of grey tiles until heading back westbound on the M62 near birstall...

    Kerbed alloys going gloss black

Nice one! I have a white M3P with both near side Uberturbines scuffed (thanks to the missus.) Would be great to see how the gloss black looks on the white. :-)

IO now variable instead of fixed!

I wasn’t aware of that? And no mention of it on the IO wiki thread on here, from what I can see? Still think we’ll be better sticking with IO as we have 2 EV’s. But just switched our gas to the octopus tracker tariff which is great, so may even look at that for electricity too?

IO now variable instead of fixed!

Just had this email through this morning, as my IO fixed tariff is coming to an end on 30th March. Basically my IO rates are changing from: Peak unit rate: 29.82p / kWh Off-peak unit rate: 7.50p / kWh Standing charge: 26.82p / day New rate as of 30/3/23: Peak unit rate: 40.23p / kWh Off-peak...

    For Octopus customers

Just switched my gas to tracker this morning, all thanks to this site! Thank you for the info! 6.57p today, instead of 10.24p I was paying on standard flexible. No brainer!!

Pirelli PS4 elect to Michelin PS4s TO

Do they do a TO version though? Also, with 255 there will be loads more rolling resistance. Had sport contact 5’s on a merc in the past. Decent tyres but wore faster than the Michelins at the time.

Pirelli PS4 elect to Michelin PS4s TO

Both are the same 235/35/20. From what I’ve read, the contact patch and width of the michelin is more like a 245 than 235? I think it’s 9 as apposed to 8.5 wide? Obviously performance wise the Michelin should be better. However, I’m guessing range may suffer slightly due to more rolling...
