Other party is denying my claim. Can I still get DV?

You cannot file for DV from your own insurance company in CA. You would have to sue the at-fault party (which would then get Mercury involved) for DV. edit: I am not a lawyer either, but have worked in the insurance industry for over 25 years.

Is Owning a Tesla Y Manageable in a State Without a Service Center?

I live roughly 20 miles (30 minutes) from a service center. That is about as far away as I would want to be while owning a Tesla.

    Silent indicators

Did you formerly drive a BMW? :)

I'm from Goergia and Texas Inventory is looking pretty enticing. Is there any way i can order the MY in Texas, but register it in GA?

The Corolla is the most popular (highest number of sales at 1.12 million cars) in the world. OP wants a Tesla Model Y. But yeah, one should be easily obtained in Georgia.

You can get DV from your own company in (I think) two states. MA and GA (two states I haven’t worked with). I wouldn’t be surprised to see State Farm punt completely on a DV claim in this case and tell the OP he can sue the at fault party for the claim.

Confused? MY biodefense have it or not?

Back when I had my S I did the HEPA filter myself. When it came time to change it, mobile did it and the tech added the button for me. At least on the S it was as simple as telling the car you had the filter, or words to that effect. It is likely similar for the Y.

In car camera. Should I cancel my Tesla order?

They only watch on Saturday Night.

Do any Y owners only have liability insurance?

From an insurance company’s perspective, there are two things we look at regarding accidents. Frequency and Severity. If you drive a car that doesn’t get into many accidents (low frequency) and doesn’t cost a fortune to remedy (low severity, including physical damage, bodily injury, etc.) it...

Let’s play is it totaled or not?

Those things lining up for you will make it easier (I’m not saying easy, but easier) for you. There is nothing easy about getting into a crash and needing your car fixed.

Let’s play is it totaled or not?

There is software that all insurers use for valuation. The number will rarely be exactly what someone expects, but objectively reasonable. If the car is repaired keep in mind: You absolutely have the right to have the car repaired wherever you want. The insurance company has the right to pay...

Correct. They would pay out as close to the value as possible. Sales tax and any extra registration costs would be covered. —so if it would cost you an extra $100 because of some rule, that gets paid too, but not just regular yearly cost.

Let’s play is it totaled or not?

The insurance company needs to take care of their policyholder while following applicable state laws. (Which is why you will sometimes see insurance companies defending drivers that do horrendous things - they have to) If it is cheaper to pay the cash value of the car, they will. If it is...
