Tesla officially trying to upsell M3 to MS 60

That's where you're wrong. That's the exact opposite of what I'm arguing. I'm arguing that a $60,000 car WILL have most, if not all of those options, I listed and it'll still cheaper by many thousands of dollars than a stripped down S with zero options. Now, if you want to argue its smaller...

Tesla officially trying to upsell M3 to MS 60

So your $66,000 non-stripped car is going to get an extra $3500 worth of options immediately; add in that cost and the taxes associated with those costs and you are now at $70,000. That's before most people would factor in dual motors, leather seats, upgraded wheels, upgraded sound, upgraded...

Tesla officially trying to upsell M3 to MS 60

I don't understand why someone would buy a stripped down S for what should be the same price as a fully loaded 3.

Base Features Required to Seal the Deal on the Model 3

I'm not holding my breath nor stomping my feet. I haven't canceled my order yet because I believe there are a lot of smart people at Tesla and I believe they'll come up with a solution between now and when I have to design my car. If they don't, you can gladly have my spot in line as I will be...

Base Features Required to Seal the Deal on the Model 3

If there's not a PPU option for supercharging I will cancel my order. I'm not paying $2000 for an option that I might use five times in my life and I won't buy the car if I can't take it on road trips once or twice because I didn't pay an extra $2000 fee. I'm not interested in free...

Do you need a positive test drive before taking delivery of your Model 3 pre-order?

You'll be able to see how the car is put together. All it takes is one read around the S or X forums to read about body panels not lining up, things not functioning properly, etc. Things you'll definitely be able to see on a test drive or in the showroom. If the demo model displays these issues...

Do you need a positive test drive before taking delivery of your Model 3 pre-order?

I can tell you that I'm a reservation holder and I will not configure and buy my car until I've done a test drive. I'm even more firm on that with the faster ramp up plan. I have a bad feeling there's going to be some serious issues in the early going. I have no doubt they'll iron them out in...

Lease ending before Model 3 arrives, what to do?

The lease was just up on my Cadillac Escalade and since I wasn't sure how long before I actually got my Model 3 I refused to sign another lease. I briefly considered a two year lease but then I'd be hoping that the cars were delayed just so I wasn't making two car payments and only driving one...

South Florida Model S owners with panoramic roofs?

I appreciate all the replies. It eases my fears, albeit, I was getting the panoramic roof either way. Way too beautiful to not order, IMO. Thanks again.

South Florida Model S owners with panoramic roofs?

I'm a Model 3 reservation holder and plan on getting the panoramic roof. How hot does it get in the August heat? Slightly unbearable or catastrophicly unbearable? Did you tint it? I generally go with limo tint on my vehicles to keep the heat out. I'd hate to have to use limo tint on that...

Kim Komando staff article-very pessimistic in nature

I don't disagree that "if" you're able to use the tax credit it is an amazing deal on the car. I think people just hear tax credit and assume they're getting a $7500 rebate check from the government after their car is delivered. In reality, IMO, the majority of people buying this car probably...

Kim Komando staff article-very pessimistic in nature

I keep seeing people say this but it makes no sense. If a $35,000 car is a stretch based off income, there's no way you're getting the tax credit.

What impact would an Apple car announcement have on M3 preorders?

Apple won't compete with the Model 3. Apple wants astronomical margins and that's not happening with the model 3. That's not to say they won't build one to compete with the S or X.

Has anyone else spent time calculating possible Model 3 pricing...

I'm not sure many understand how the $7500 credit works either. There are going to be a lot of mad people who buy-up $7500 worth of extra options only to fill out their taxes and only be able to claim a fraction of that credit.

Has anyone else spent time calculating possible Model 3 pricing...

Generally I would agree with you but in this case I'm going to do my absolute best to walk in and pay cash for my car. That requires some planning and saving for the next 18-24+ months until it rolls off of the assembly line.
