Thank you guys so much for telling us about this. The warning about 60 days and having to reapply (which is another hit to your credit) was a little misleading. Just changed my order to cash so now I’m in line. I literally was gonna wait until March to finish that step and would’ve been screwed.

Well total bummer no solar for me as well.....I too got the extra $8K charge for tile roofs. I'm guessing they don't want to do older tile roofs because of their install process. It is definitely not a light weight tile roof and I have a neighbor down the street that has the same roof and they...

Yeah I'm bummed as well. Was hoping to compare notes on my install. I had the site inspection (I also have a concrete tile roof) but no big pricing issues just a couple of breakers need to be replaced. They requested my permit on 8/20 and gave them a deadline of 9/3. Then I'll book my install...

Hi Yeah roof is currently 35 years old. I'm told it passed inspection although I am a little concerned that once I do solar I'll start having leaks since it is such an old concrete tile roof. The feedback from site visit was that I need a couple of breakers but otherwise all of it is good...

Well great site visit. Guy was very thorough and professional. Went up on the roof to check condition of it to make sure it’s OK to install. My house has a 35 year old so going it passes inspection. If not I guess I have to convince my wife to go for a solar roof instead.

Good question unfortunately I don't have an answer. I just called them up yesterday and my advisor recommended a sit visit to go through the roof and other stuff. I'm not sure why my house needed one and yours didn't. Maybe it's a location thing? I'm located in Southern California.

Wow this is welcome news. I was on the fence based on some of the comments here but thought that Tesla wouldn’t let this poor customer service last forever. I ironically gave them my $100 yesterday and uploaded photos this morning. I’ll detail my progress on this forum.
