    trade in process

They don’t have the time or resources to check for an issue like you are describing. The values they give for trade ins are adjusted for the risk that comes from taking in cars with issues like you are describing.

Anyone have experience refusing delivery on a *LEASED* Tesla?

You can always refuse to take delivery no matter if its leased etc. They can keep your deposit but they can't force you into delivery.

    CPO w/ SC01

It sounds like a mistake and that there would be a strong chance they would remove it if /when they figured it out.

If you are buying from Tesla they will not allow it in 99.9% of cases.

Is it still possible to delay/postpone delivery?

They reserve the right to keep your $250 if you delay but I was able to get it back almost one year later. We delayed our purchase and I assumed that we had lost the deposit and was not a big deal but I was able to tell another sales advisor "we will order today if you can apply our old $250...

Model S Door Handles - Original v. New Cars

New built car has 71 miles on odometer

This is pretty normal and likely from moving the car in region. They’ll do this when it’s faster & cheaper than a tow/ truck move to get the delivery done faster. The odometer will not be less than 71. The paperwork is pulling the odometer from the connected car. If anything it will be...

    Model S&X Price Adjustments

New car pricing will always impact the used market but the older the car, the less impact it will have.

    Model S&X Price Adjustments

It is possible that this is signaling a pending S and X update in Q4, but impossible to know for sure. Could just be that they saw softening demand and need to make sure all of these units and the next 4 production weeks get delivered before the end of Q3.

    Model S&X Price Adjustments

In the DTC model the consumer is exposed to this kind of price shock way more than the dealer model. It's not worse, it's just way more in your face. Tesla is able to take big margins when the demand is high that would otherwise have been taken by a "dealer markup". There is no way you're not...
