    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Ordered about 30 minutes after you in Seattle (G/W) and have the exact same delivery window.

    Silver AWD configurations and deliveries

Well, I think geography is involved as well. If Tesla makes cars in batches and then ships a group of red, AWD Model 3s to some city on the east coast, there may not be enough day 1 reservation holders in that area with that configuration, so they reach out to the day 2 reservation holders next...

    Silver AWD configurations and deliveries

Has anyone seen or heard of a Silver, non-P dual-motor being delivered yet? Anecdotal evidence seems to indicate they make them in batches by color/wheel, and this would explain why people with later reservations get their cars earlier...

How fast should people drive in the carpool lane?

It's also against traffic laws in a number of states. (Left-lane campers, this means you: State Patrol conducting crackdown this week) The HOV lane is not, however, a passing lane during the times it is an HOV lane.

How fast should people drive in the carpool lane?

I agree that going the speed limit in the carpool lane if the other lanes are moving as fast or faster than that is pointless. However, the carpool lane is not a passing lane. I don't think "Keep Right Except to Pass" applies to the carpool lane. I reserve my "hate with the fire of 10,000 suns"...

How fast should people drive in the carpool lane?

I also grew up in Orange County and visit often. Not only is the flow of traffic about 10-20 MPH over the speed limit there, but the freeway speed limits within populated areas are generally higher there compared to here. Where anatari's accident happened on the I-90, the speed limit is only 60...

Changes to invite priority, now only effected by date/time of reservation

That's not what I got from my conversation with the ISA I spoke with. I specifically asked if I would receive an email and be asked to configure again and he said no. He said that it will be my exact same configuration that I have now, but with AWD added, and that I will receive a call once the...

Changes to invite priority, now only effected by date/time of reservation

I just called and was also told 4 months from the date of deferment and that "priority" is based solely on reservation number. I went ahead and switched to AWD.

Changes to invite priority, now only effected by date/time of reservation

Isn't delivery time for a brand new reservation for AWD 6-9 months? Are they saying that you lose all priority if you defer at this point?

Changes to invite priority, now only effected by date/time of reservation

If I was fairly certain that I could switch to AWD and get it before the end of the year, I'd do it. My lease on my current car doesn't end until March anyway. I just don't want that "9 month" estimate to be accurate.

Changes to invite priority, now only effected by date/time of reservation

Just doing the math doesn't really add up to 9 months. Pre-reveal is in the first 100k or so reservations. How many people ordered the 1st production? 30k? How many people are waiting for SR? 20-30k? So there're maybe 40-50k who want dual motor? I guess from that point, it depends where you are...

Changes to invite priority, now only effected by date/time of reservation

I reserved online pre-reveal, got the invite on 4/15, and configured on 4/16. I don't have a VIN yet. I called Tesla on Friday and asked the same questions. At first I was told that I could not switch to AWD. When I pressed (nicely) and asked if anyone there could help me since my "3-6 week"...

    VIN Assignment

From what I've seen and heard, East Coast seems to take 2-3 weeks longer than West Coast in general. Obviously, that makes some sense.

    VIN Assignment

Well, my situation is different than yours. If I don't take delivery by May 31st, I'll have to pay $2,800 more in taxes because the WA tax incentive ends.
