    High Frequency Noise/Hum-New Model Y

No, the service manager did it of their own volition. Once they did, realized a picture might be helpful to the folks here so I snapped it with their permission.

    High Frequency Noise/Hum-New Model Y

Yes, I think that’s how they diagnosed it.

So this is the perimeter seal in question. The problem was that the foam seal was misaligned during the pack/frame mating process such that the gasket seal wasn’t complete, allowing ingress of sound. The above photo is my perimeter seal and I’ve circled the area where the imprint of the mating...

I don’t mind that sound. This is a slightly lower frequency whine than that of the vehicle under heavy acceleration but is louder and grating even at constant speed under minimal load. We put 25k miles on our ‘21 MY and don’t mind the acceleration/regen noise at all; this is different and terrible.

    High Frequency Noise/Hum-New Model Y

There's a noticeable increased rear drive unit whine in our 2022 MY LR AWD as compared to our 2021 cruising at any constant speed and most noticeable <50 mph (probably because other noises start to become more prominent above). It's the first thing my wife noticed when driving and the frequency...

    Oregon - license plate transfer

They did for me during my delivery today though admittedly I plied the hardworking delivery team with beer and biscuits! They were great!
