    Model S - Window Tinting

70%?, In Cali you can put any shade you want on the car behind the driver. The front doors can have a clear UV or up to a 88% VLT which you can barely tell is tinted. Front windshield can only have a 4" sunstrip. If you do the front windshield running something like Air Blue at a 78% VLT is hard...

Supercharger - Las Vegas, NV - Bridger Ave.

I was there at around 10:30AM this morning in my silver 85. Drove from LA to Vegas and back to LA today. I have now visited every SC in Cali using Barstow today!

if you didn't buy a prepaid service plan

Probably just a training issue with the staff. Prepaid is just that, you pre-pay to get a lower price. That in no way implies the service will be different.

no loaner instead they gave me a camaro!

If everyone continues to take these cars I would not doubt it stays that way long term. If offered anything less than promised then you must let them know this is not acceptable. Prius, really? I would have been so pissed!

    Supercharger & Tesla app

Why would you need a pouch notification. I mean you can just check the app yourself and see where your at. Others may not want a push so pulling the data on demand like it is now is probably not going to change. Also at a supercharger you should now remaining time and should be checking the app...

    Decreasing rated range.

Just completed my first range charge at 1773 miles. VisableTesla is reporting 267.8 miles rated and 303.9 ideal. I have been getting 235 rated miles on a 90% charge since we picked it up.

no loaner instead they gave me a camaro!

With kids, yes I would turn down the roadster. When you base a purchase on the perks of ownership when buying a $100,000+ car your damn right I want the perks. While I understand the need for cash in a growing company a promise is a promise. You don't bite the hand that is feeding you. The best...

no loaner instead they gave me a camaro!

Curious, do they pay of gas in the loaners? I thought I saw on the Tesla site P85 loaners will be provided. Looking just now I see loaners and no mention of a P85. Has this been changed? I know I bought the car knowing this first class service existed so changes to it would not make me a happy...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

I agree they will low ball. I went to carmax and they offered me $10,000 for my truck. I already have offers for $15,000 just listing it through eBay/Craigslist for a week. I thought they would at least be reasonable, guess now I know.

Only 17 days from scheduled delivery but still not in production

I arrive in SJC around 8ish and will be at the factory at 9AM. My dashboard still says sourcing parts but pick does show 9AM on 23rd still.

Only 17 days from scheduled delivery but still not in production

I think it only takes a week to build. I am scheduled for factory pickup on the 23rd and I am still sourcing parts. I assumed mine would probably not start production till end of next week at the earliest.

Questions, and did you "receive" the full $7,500 tax incentive?

Anyone know if you can use the tax credit to write off past tax liability? Say if you owe the IRS $4000 for 2013 but you had $3500 in debt from the previous year, would the credit wipe out the previous year as well?

Going to be a two Tesla family and first week pictures and blog entries...

to remove the door handles so the wrap can go inside the edges. It's also pretty normal to remove them for tinting if the trim is attached.
