Showroom and Service Center - Fayetteville GA

This location sucks. Avoid taking delivery or service here. The service managers are condescending and won't even try to diagnose issues. The sales team doesn't do anything to communicate with people either. Zero answers to my questions during the order process.

Any updates on Tesla insurance offering expansion to Georgia?

Anyone heard anything yet? Would like to have some alternative to progressive

A new second-tier EV Tire: "Radar All Season EV"

Ran the Radar Dimax AS8 on my 2019 LR, they gripped well in the dry but were a bit noisy. Also seemed alright in the wet until I hydroplaned and wrecked. Had pretty deep tread depth, practically new. Have driven in similar conditions in my 2008 528i with Continental DWS tires and have had no...

Return HomeLink and Go with MyQ?

Yeah it's unavoidable for some cases where the device does not have controls exposed locally. MyQ appears to be one of those cases, but I have other smart devices like kasa bulbs that can connect to the cloud, but also can be completely controlled locally.

    Why 42 PSI ?

Pressure = force/area. Since the cross sectional area is relatively constant (although lower pressures result in a larger contact patch), the higher the pressure the more force the tire can withstand without deformation. It's likely that Tesla tuned their suspension spring mass damper system...

Model 3 Glass Roof with roof rack ***Crack

I got a crack on my roof from a giant stone smashing the front edge of the glass. The crack started at the edge and went into the glass approx as far as yours. I just used the rainx windshield chip/crack repair kit to prevent the crack from growing and it's worked pretty well. I placed a small...

Solved: Road Noise & Front Wind Noise

Most of my remaining gusting wind noise is from around the mirror area. Already done the foam in fenders and frunk/sub trunk. Not much from the rear. Will doing the Z-seals fix this? Road noise from my cheapo Radar Dimax As-8 tires isn't too bad surprisingly.

    Axle seal leak

Yeah that's what I was thinking and was adamant that it seems more serious than they are thinking. Well at least if it fails, they have me on the record showing the problem before the warranty period expires.

    Axle seal leak

Mine looked similar. Tesla service claimed it was just road grime and cleaned it. Has this happened for anyone else? At least if my axles or drive unit fails, they will have the record of me bringing it in with the concern of leaks. Mine is on the front drive unit.

Solved: Road Noise & Front Wind Noise

That pattern works for both sides, just gotta flip it. The orientation in the box is just upside down, the curve that's on the bottom left in the picture should be in the top left on the car drivers side and top right on the passenger side. Edit: I just rotated the image and reupload, now it's...

Return HomeLink and Go with MyQ?

I did use that for a while but they require you to login to their site every few weeks and "verify" that you are still actively using it which makes it useless for me.

Return HomeLink and Go with MyQ?

Yeah, just mine doesn't work with DuckDns. Duckdns is completely free unlike some other dynamic dns providers.

Solved: Road Noise & Front Wind Noise

It's probably all relative. Those of us that came from German luxury cars are finding the model 3 to be quite loud for a "luxury" car while those coming from commuter cars are finding it much quieter. My 2019 is definitely much louder at 80mph than my 2008 5 series. The frameless windows likely...

Return HomeLink and Go with MyQ?

Yeah it's a tradeoff between managing your infrastructure or paying for a service and having it harvest your data. Though, there isn't much to manage, I never really have to touch my home assistant instance, mostly just have to update my DuckDns IP whenever my ISP is doing maintenance and I get...
