Sorry for the delay. Was recovering from some health issues. I'm not sure if we are allowed to post links, but here goes...Model 3 checklist.

    Vancouverite M3 Insurance Rates!?

Wow. That is insane. I'm not sure how the insurance laws differ from Quebec to BC, but I'm paying around 1400$ tax in. Insurance here has gone up in the last few years due to the amount of flooding that occurs in Spring in certain regions. But what you guys have to pay is nearly criminal!

2021 Model 3 and Model Y Heating issue

Same here, no issues as of yet. But the temp in MTL has also been milder than usual. Plus we're on lockdown, so nowhere to go anyways!

    Regen braking weakened?

I experienced the same thing this morning for the first time. The only difference I can observe is that I didn't have my car plugged in overnight. I actually had full REGEN available (no dots) when I noticed coming off the highway. No message either. It was weird since it's the first time I had...

    Direct sunlight issue with cameras

Ah thanks. Yes, that seems to make sense since the angle of the sun in the morning I suspect would cause this. Must've been optimal conditions to get the messages. Definitely seems to affect AP but nothing about REGEN.

    Direct sunlight issue with cameras

I'm a pretty new owner and haven't seen this until today. I got a message that "left door pillar camera blocked or blinded". I got the one for the right camera when I was driving in the other direction on the highway. I suspected dirt from all the winter road muck, but didn't see any when I made...

Car wash in winter at home [Need advice]

Thanks for the reply. I'm probably just missing some sealant for my floors as a bare minimum to start washing inside. I was worried that the drain would need to be siphoned and cleaned often. But that doesn't seem to be an issue for most people.

Car wash in winter at home [Need advice]

Thanks for the tips. You're definitely meticulous and that will pay off in the end as I've seen with my previous cars. I only wish I had the dough to PPF the entire car. It would definitely put my mind at ease with doing a no rinse wash. I have a self car wash close to my house but the owners...

Car wash in winter at home [Need advice]

Just added a garage heater and never had any issues previously without heating. Just bought the house 2 years ago, and it's been going for 40+ years with no heated garage. I'll look into membranes for the wall, but from when I renovated my powder room, Schluter is really expensive and wouldn't...

Did anyone come from bigger size sedan to Tesla Model 3?

I've had an Audi in the past and a BMW right before this Tesla. Here are a few of my observations: Audi: - Cars look nice, and interiors are much nicer than my model 3 IMO. - Dealers and Audi Canada/USA are a nightmare to deal with after you've purchased the car. Unless there is a class action...

Car wash in winter at home [Need advice]

I'm planning on setting up my garage to do car washes at home. Not sure what my requirements would be given that the winters here can be brutal. Additionally, what type of waterproofing would I need to do to the walls(bathroom paint) and or floors(epoxy). Also, would the drain need to be...

Copy. And I'm guessing the whiter the light the better? I've noticed all pro detailing shops have super white lights. I'm thinking about getting some for the garage. Currently just have those led ones from amazon that with 3 flaps that plug into a lightbulb socket.

I was planning on doing PPF on the rockers and ceramic coating myself. I've done it in the past. Considering the car is new, would the paint correction be absolutely necessary prior to ceramic coating?

Model 3 Canada - Confirmed Orders Only thread

That's what surprised me the most, no issues whatsoever with door or panel alignment. There was however a very faint scratch near the driver door handle, but I accepted delivery anyways as it is barely noticeable. I think this is the most I've scrutinized a car at delivery, probably has...

Model 3 Canada - Confirmed Orders Only thread

Just picked mine up today. They called me to confirm for the 23rd and then asked if I wanted to come today! I used the checklist and didn't have any issues so I accepted delivery. Total of 5 weeks from order to delivery. Thanks again to everyone for answering my questions. This is a great forum.

What's the significance of an 848 VIN? Is that related to time of production and options?

Crap, Quebec is closing non-essential services starting on the 25th up to Jan 11. My delivery is scheduled for the 23rd, hope it's not delayed! That'll be another 2.5 weeks waiting impatiently!!!

Winter charging issues, frozen charge ports, road trips

Thanks! I was wondering if the heat pump would make a difference. Since you're in TO, I'm guessing you see some efficiencies with consumption over 2020 and below M3 owners.

Winter charging issues, frozen charge ports, road trips

I thought I saw a few videos on Youtube that indicated that the charge ports on 2021s are now heated. Or was that always the case? Picking up my M3 in a couple of weeks and am not too worried about this since I'll be parked in a heated garage.

VIN received via email yesterday. Delivery date moved to the 23rd. Just in time for xmas and maybe the update to V11. About 5 weeks from order to delivery would be not too bad. Running out of videos to watch on Youtube about the M3!

2021 inventory available on Tesla site

I see Red, White, Black and Blue 2021 M3 in the Montreal inventory. I suspect MSM will be the next ones delivered. Not sure on how Tesla production works, but my delivery date shows Dec.19 (no VIN). Based on what I'm seeing on the site, I suspect MSM are being pumped out as we speak. Just a...

What happen if no tpms in winter wheels

Can you let me know where you got the wheels and tires? I'm looking at a December delivery as well and need to get ready for the snow and slush. Having a hard time finding Nokians locally.
