Suspension Clearances for Wider / Taller tires

A question to folks who switched to Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4. Do you plan to switch back to stock Pirelli's for the summer? I'm running 265/35/R21+295/35/R21 Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 for over 5000 miles and I really like the grip and comfort of these tires. Regarding comfort -...

System faults occur when it rains (APP_w264, DI_a246, and more)

It was a rear left wheel sensor failure. It was fixed my replacing the whole hub and sensor.

    Where is the speakerphone microphone?

Everything was fine for me, but today people started to complain about my sound quality. Maybe a microphone needs to be cleaned. Will check.

Retro-fitting HEPA filter in Model Y

Tesla published a video on YouTube yesterday promoting HEPA filtering in Model Y. Made me so jealous since my Model Y was built literally a week before HEPA filters were added to Model Ys. Can't say that I really need one since I'm not asthmatic, and I lived without it in other cars whole life...

    Brake Pedal Noise

Reviving this old thread... I've took my Model Y from service, where they tried to identify for two weeks why car went into safe mode (which ended up caused by a faulty rear hub). Now I have a clicking noise when I press the brake pedal to certain extent. Super annoying. Brakes work as usual...

System faults occur when it rains (APP_w264, DI_a246, and more)

Same happened today during the rain with my 2021 Model Y. Hard reboot didn't help. It was towed away to Tesla service. Now let's see if that is caused by the same issue.

AutoWipers Still dont work well on 2021 Model Y

Welcome from Seattle, a place where is rains all the time at this time of the year. Well, this week it was snowing, but still. I have a truck with rain sensing wipers (using regular light sensor) and I need to say that it works well better on my Model Y. On MY, the sensors are going crazy fast...

Suspension Clearances for Wider / Taller tires

Can you take a picture please showing how much space is left between the tire and the rear part of the wheel well when wheels are turned 80%?

    80 MPH limit unacceptable

In my case autopilot immediately disengages and doesn't turn on until the end of the trip if I do that ;) But guys, when you go on a highway with 80mph speed limit, where everyone else is driving 90mph - going 85mph is not speeding to me. However, I need to disengage autopilot if I want to keep...

Suspension Clearances for Wider / Taller tires

I've got a call from Discount Tire this morning saying "Sorry man, we've put the wrong tires on your Tesla last week". So I wrote that I've put 265/40/R21 in the front, but I never actually checked the numbers on the sidewall myself :) So I ended up to 265/35/R21 in the front and 295/35/R21 in...

Suspension Clearances for Wider / Taller tires

OK, I did it! Michelin Pilot 4 All Season, 265/40/R21 in the front, 295/35/R21 in the rear. Before digging into this, I never noticed how much side walls on rear tires bigger then in the front :) Now front and tires are exactly same size from the side, and wide stance from the rear looks great...

Suspension Clearances for Wider / Taller tires

BTW, have you found a solution how to tell the car about new tire size to adjust speedometer/odometer? Since with these sizes front tires are 4-5% bigger then stock.

Suspension Clearances for Wider / Taller tires

Hi folks, I was looking to all-season alternative to P Zeros. Live in Seattle, winter tires makes no sense since roads are not cleaned when it snows anyway and everybody just stays at home. I've ordered Pilot 4 All Seasons in 265/35/21+275/35/21 since Michelin doesn't make tires in stock...

Switching from Jeep Grand Cherokee to Model Y Performance - Ground clearance issues?

Found this thread while I tried to identify the ground clearance for Model Y Performance by doing Google seath. It was quicker to go to the garage and measure it myself ;) As a person who switched from Dodge Durango (which is pretty the same vehicle as Jeep Grand Cherokee, just with different...

Can you clarify what did you mean with "wide mirrors"? Your side mirrors look standard to me.

MYP: Should I swap out Uberturbine wheels?

Leave your 21 Uberturbines if you like sharp cornering. They are really stiff, but I can't say that switching to 20" will add a mentionable amount of comfort.

    Tire rotation

Is it even possible to do tire rotation on Tesla Model Y Performance since it has staggered tires? Switching left and right on each axle will mess up the rotation direction as I understand.
