After the moaning, Tesla made some changes

Every other month?? Hell, try every other DAY!! Three days ago we had one set of colors. The next day we had three new colors added. Two days after that, we lost three original colors!! You can barely drive a Tesla home faster than Tesla makes changes to them, let alone to try and actually order...

After the moaning, Tesla made some changes

Well, sometimes at least. Tesla apparently listened to all the bitching and complaining. Just noticed that the Premium packaged announced a couple of days ago for $5,000 has been reduced to $3,000. Certainly more reasonable when you add the previous cost of the Alcantara headliner and Nappa...

Am I wrong? Tech package now $7,500?

Before today, the tech package was $4,250 and included all of the auto pilot hardware. Now, tech package is gone, replaced with the "Premium" package and is now $5,000 and does NOT include Auto Pilot. You have to pay another $2,500 for that. So what was $4,250 yesterday is now $7,500 today...

Is anyone else planning around the Tesla III release?

The "It won't look like other cars" comment scared me. I pray that they look at what's worked and stick with that formula. I think they could be very successful with a scaled down version of the Model S. It's looks are almost always praised. And that philosophy has worked well for years for BMW...

Rear Wheel Drive P85 is a Missed Opportunity for Tesla

I agree. Yes prices have increased a few times over the past year. But, I believe the P85 was a $5,000 option over the base 85. Not bad at all for a full second gain in 0-60 acceleration. Yes, the P85+ seemed to be way over priced for another $7,000 or so, for suspension related items only. The...

    Proud New Papa

For anyone interested, because the wheels are a little wider than stock at 9" instead of 8.5", I chose to swap the tires to fill out the wheels just a little better. Went with 275/30/21 Pirelli's. They are almost identical in overall diameter as the stock sized tire, but the extra width brought...

    Proud New Papa

Thank you everyone for the kind comments. My choice in wheels was very much inspired by the Saleen wheels. I saw the Saleen version at the auto show and loved the wheels. I called Saleen several times to see about getting a set. After about 2 months and several calls & e-mails, they finally...

Have been waiting two long years to join the Tesla family. Saturday, became the proud new Papa of a Midnight Blue 85kWh with tan interior that, happily looks much better in person than in photos. Added a set of wheels and now am luvin every second of it. Previously had a Chevy Volt, which was a...
