Be sure and check the United Road “Current” tab. It shows 10 cars scheduled for delivery today from Fort Worth to Cedar Springs.

They keep the cars charged at Alliance as I understand.

Received my FedEx package today with the registration papers so that must be a step in the right direction.

Thanks, I'm not saying that does not happen. Just trying to make the point that I believe Tesla could pre-position cars in an FTZ located in Texas before the cars are shipped. I was told by a manager at Cedar Springs that Tesla recently changed in Dallas rail hub to Alliance.

    Texas Hold Up!

Some thoughts. I believe part of the trouble in moving cars from the Fort Worth Alliance hub is that I understand the BNSF facility is in a free trade zone (FTZ) and, therefore, is within a secure area. I'm sure certain paperwork is needed to get vehicles out of there. I also suspect that...

    Texas Hold Up!

I've been bumped from 8/29 to 9/10 for delivery at Cedar Springs. My IDA assures me she is working with logistics to get the car moved from the Fort Worth hub in time to make this delivery.

    Texas Hold Up!

My sense is that Tesla is using more direct trucking (i.e., United Road) to deliver to Houston and more rail (OKC and Fort Worth hubs) for Dallas and Austin. They must be using more rail to save money on transport and to utilize staging locations. The delivery centers cannot hold the hundreds...

    Texas Hold Up!

louisTM3, it seems to me that setting a date in the distant future Nice. When I spoke with my IDA yesterday, she mentioned the same meeting. She is trying to coordinate with logistics to address my car and several other of her customers stuck in Fort Worth. Should know more tomorrow. I...

OKC is being used as a staging area to store cars transported by rail. The origins shown are for cars that were sent from CA by truck.

Not sure when it left CA. I believe it was last in Richmond before it left the state on rail car.

    Texas Hold Up!

No problem. When I called my delivery center (Cedar Springs), I asked the rep to ping the car for its location. I did this for about a week and tracked it on rail. It was stuck in Amarillo for three days before it arrived in Fort Worth on Aug. 21. I paid cash for the car on Aug. 9.

    Texas Hold Up!

My car arrived in the Fort Worth rail hub on 8/21, one week before my scheduled delivery of 8/28 at Cedar Springs. My DA wants to push the delivery to mid-September to be safe. My car is approx. 35 miles away and Tesla cannot give me a firm date to deliver the car.

    Texas Hold Up!

I can confirm that a whole bunch of cars are waiting in the BNSF hub near Alliance Airport, based on my talk yesterday with a manager at Cedar Springs. They use Chicago, OKC and Fort Worth to stage the cars now.

    Texas Hold Up!

Thanks hmerrill3, that is my understanding as well. What I would like to try and understand is the process Tesla uses to transfer the cars to us without violating Texas law and whether the process has changed recently. Or whether problems may have come up with the process they used before and...

    Texas Hold Up!

Could someone who has taken delivery of a Model 3 in Texas tell me what paperwork Tesla provided? Did you receive a California title or was it a Texas title? What steps did you have to go through to register the car in Texas? Thanks,

Have you checked the MVPA that shows up on your account page to see if it includes a VIN?

    Texas Hold Up!

Sorry to hear that pub cheese. Do you know whether your car was being sent by truck or rail from California? And whether it was delivered to DFW for transport to ATX?

    Texas Hold Up!

I believe there is something more to the problems in Dallas than simply a failure of logistics. I'm looking into a few ideas and wil lpost any solid info I obtain.

Go to the Google Sheets spreadsheet that Troy established and find some actual VINs that were delivered to Austin a month ago and plug them into the search function until you get a hit for Pond Springs. Then you can that hit to subscribe. That is how I signed up for Dallas.

Thanks LoneStarV for posting this. I've signed up for delivery to Cedar Springs in Dallas. Seems to me that these are only for truck deliveries, not rail.
