Hadn't thought of it that way, but it works. Just add one day to the first day in the window. The computer is embarrassed when the estimated delivery date is in the past. And it should be.

I got a good quote from Tesla on a trade, just $500 below Carmax and others, with a 30 day and 1,000 mile allowance. Very convenient when the delivery date is an unknown. I can turn the old car in while picking up the new one.

If you got a VIN today or yesterday one of those is your build date(s). By law, a VIN is official when the car is assembled, and not before.

Mine disappeared completely and then a new EDD range appeared the next day. Happened to others too. Chances are pretty good the computer is rearranging deliveries. Usually you go from a named month to a four week window with specific dates, then to a two week window. Give it another day.

If your car was produced on 1/5 add 10 days to two weeks for the car to ship to New Jersey. That puts you squarely in the 1/16-1/22 frame. No way the 1/7 - 1/11 window is feasible for a car finished in California on the 5th.

What matters is the price at the time the car was ordered. Those buyers should be treated similarly.

If there is no difference In the cars’ performance then there is no problem. But if there is a difference in range, battery packs, and possibly processors that will be available for $2000 later this year as in upgrade if you were unlucky but paid the same price, then I believe it will be a problem.
