Did you have to notify any third parties like PG&E and/or local/state government? Or was it as simple as making the final payment and it's yours.

@arnolddeleon - What did you decide to do here? Did you go with option A? If so, did were you able to negotiate? Any regrets or things you would do differently? Looking forward to your reply. I'm in a similar situation.
