That looks like the the "mold" line from when the bumper was detached at the factory. The only piece of PPF from the factory might be the one on the bottom of the rear door.

Yes I agree Xpel got the stronger adhesive(I'm a authorize Xpel dealer), but when it comes down to it, an experience installer with any film will NEED know how to make any film stick more than a on a temporary basis

Those are mold lines. They should have been painted over so you don't see the black. Check few other white ones and you'll see(we ppf many white model y and rarely see the mold lines black). Nobody is getting any free ppf on the bumpers because they're the hardest part to PPF lol

Solid ppf adhesion is subject to how well the panel edges were prepped before installation, and how hot (as hot as possible {based on installer experience}) was the heat gun the installer use to seal the edge.

Tip: Find a cheap (because of your bad luck) but good tint installer to do the windshield 70%(almost clear) because it let in the most heat.

Only certain ppf film can be buffed to remove scratches on it, such as old 3m ppf, etc. Most of the newer ppf are self healing with heat, or super scratch resistant. Buffing will/might help on certain brand of ppf

They can't & shouldn't put on ppf at factory because the paint is too fresh. They installed ppf behind the wheels at the Ferrari factory awhile back. When we tried to remove the ppf to install a bigger piece, some of the paint peeled along with the ppf.

Fyi, there are ppf that self heals from minor scratches & films that are Ultra scratch resistant
