$3,200-$7,000 old car incentive program in S. CA via "Replace Your Ride” program

But Tesla adds the tax credit to the residual cost instead of deducting it from the cap, which is great if you just want to lease. But if you want to buy it at the end of the lease term, you end up paying back the tax credit.

Senate version of the Tax Bill preserves EV Tax Credit.

Not sure where you all are, but the Senate Bill also eliminates property tax and local income tax deductions. Here in CA, that sucks.

POLL - Age vs. Patience for Model 3

38 and if the tax credit is gone, I can wait.

POLL: If the GOP tax reform kills the $7500 tax credit, will you still buy?

No. I don't have to have it now. And I don't mind buying used.

GOP tax reform bill would end the $7500 EV tax credit (and other tax related grousing and grumbling)

If the credit is eliminated, then I'm cancelling my reservation. It's not that it's no longer affordable, but It's a luxury, not a necessity for me. I wasn't planning on trading in my current car (was going to keep it for longer trips as well as for the luggage capacity) so I'll just wait and...

Looking for a Model 3 now

But if the second buyer is willing to pay a markup, I don't think they're very concerned with claiming the tax credit.

    Pictures of production Model 3s

I think the silver car would look great if the trim matched the color of the powder coated wheels.

    Pictures of production Model 3s

I want to see more full car pics with the aero covers off

    Pictures of production Model 3s

I think it looks great with the blue. I think the chrome vs the dark Aero is what doesn't look right. I think if you got the trim to match the Aero Wheels, it'd look awesome.

Why all the hate for the Aero wheels?

I don't know. I haven't been reading a lot of negatives. I think there are a lot of people that are happy with them. And of course there are people that don't like them, but I don't think it's skewed heavily towards that direction. I plan on getting them. If I don't like them, I just get some...

Saw the Model 3 at Monterey car week....thoughts

Thanks for the pics! Here are my thoughts. I don't like the wood grain at all. It just looks out of place to me. But the red does look good and I'm definitely getting the aero wheels now. My question is, is the 210 for the standard battery with the aero covers on or off?

Model 3 Premium Package is a STEAL (By Tesla standards)

Yep. All I want are power seats and the glass roof.

Model 3 Premium Package is a STEAL (By Tesla standards)

It all depends. It's a steal if you want the entire package. It's not a steal if you only want a few pieces of the package.

[Incorrect post] EV Tax credit mischaracterization

It's deducted from the total tax liability for the year, not how much you owe. If $700 are withheld for taxes every month from your paycheck (equating to $8400 for the year) and you still owe $1000, assuming you get the full $7500 credit, you would not owe the $1000 and you would get $6500 back...

What will your Model 3 look like?

Definitely aero wheels, but I'm torn between silver and white.

I think I might stain my wood dash...

I like the idea of wrapping in CF as well. No way on the staining though.

Model 3 in 2018 or wait until early 2019 for Model Y?

I'm with zer0cool. I want the model 3 now. I have a RAV 4 to handle the surfboards/bikes. If I like the Y, I may get rid of the RAV or just consolidate the two.

How will you refer to your Model 3?

I really dislike the M3 nomenclature. My brain automatically associates it with the original BMW M3. The Tesla should have its own name. Tesla 3, T3, something unique.
