IMO... 2170 vs. 4680 should not be a deal breaker. Yes we ALL want 4680 but keep in mind that 2170 battery package already has 10+ yrs of practical, reliable data. No one know what kind of bugs 4680 has. I think it's safer to wait for the 2nd generation of 4680

I assume "middle bay" means U have a 3-car garage? New Gen3 comes with a 24ft hole so if it's installed on either side of your garage U should be able to reach the "middle bay"? unless U want to install it on ceiling for a personal preference

for 12V battery, the current is Lithium-ACID . New technology is Lithium-ION which I believe Tesla is using in the S model. Lithium-ION 12V battery is supposedly better (no need to be replaced every 4-5 yrs)
