Have multiple gates in my parkade so I am stuck using the old fashioned clunky clicker/fob. Where do people keep this in your car? I don't want to keep it in the drink holders but it seems this is where it will eventually go.
After taking delivery and playing with the car yesterday (with Ryzen), i feel like the whole Ryzen upgrade is overblown.
I am 40, so the games are moot for me. Youtube can only be played when in park which is also moot 99% of the time.
I took delivery of mine yesterday. only issue my had was a very small paint chip/scratch (side/edge of a panel) that was touched up in the factory. i have no idea how i spotted it as it was around 1 cm long.
apparently car rolled off the assembly line this morning. Given a Vin of 164xxx arranged loan financing and was approved. shoudl arrive in Vancouver in the next few days.
I applied for this on my phone in the mall and i don't think i had an option to change the down payment. I am set to pay around $7,500 down payment (which I would prefer to throw against my mortage instead).
Anyone know if down payment is optional?
Narrowed again to feb 2 to feb 13
Original order September 15
Sr+ white no upgrades.

Crissing my fingers for a Ryzen processor. Seems the delay has been a blessing in that regards.
Ordered September 15 and EDD was updated to January 29 - Feb 13 a few weeks ago. Today is (jan 29!!!)

Possible to swap out the "old" Model 3 batteries in a decade or so?
i phoned to get a quote (expect Fed may raise rates tomorrow) and the Tesla rep talked me out of it. saying it things are delayed you may need to get another quote in another 30 days.
I am thinking of taping 4 litre milk jugs to the side of the pillar next to our car to provide a cushion/buffer.
our parkade was from the 80s before any standards. it is among the worst in the region. we are 5 stories up a narrow driveaisle. a few of the corners have eroded close to an inch...
this may be the best answer. That said, wife hasn't smashed the car in 2 years now. All the damage came from the first 2 years living here. she has evolved.
add to the above - We have no autopilot/park features. I am not even sure autopilot would work in the parkade as it is very complex with lots of blind corners. Lots of large mirrors to guide driving and to meet oncoming vehicles..
I live in a building with long complex parkade with lots of concrete pillars throughout it. Almost every car in the building has sideswiped pillars/walls at least once
My wife is notorious for crashing and sideswiping cars on pillars when she turns. Both sides of our current ICE car have been...
My Model 3 should be arriving within the next four weeks. Anyone here try pre-applying for credit with Tesla prior to VIN being issued (pre-approval is valid for 30 days with tesla financing)? Assuming rates may go up next month (February) and would like to lock in the 3.1% financing?
i dont' mind waiting a bit longer. this weather sucks in vancouver (sunny and warm this weekend, though :). wait for all the salt to wash off the roads.
orderd a white 18" wheels. no upgrades. ordered in late september.
as i reread their email it looks like they need some updated info from me prior to next steps.
just saw the email from my Tesla rep that was sent 4 days ago. The email was in my junk folder. Pure fluke that I saw it.
No text or phone call.
They gave me a VIN.
I am in Vancouver as well and likely expect mine end of January as well. In no rush to get it right now. Family issues here which may be better to wait a while here.
