I no longer own a Nissan Leaf!

Congrats on the Tesla! We also leased a Leaf before we bought our Tesla. It was a great car for around town but was not practical as our only car. The Tesla is our only car and it more than fills the need. My experience with the Nissan dealership cemented my opinion that Tesla made a wise...

Tesla provided Cellular Data Plan - Free forever?

When I have lost the cell connection , I have also lost the map display. I think the map depends on data updates from the cell connection.

    Damage Repair (Tampa area)

I also had what looked like minor front end damage. It turned out the front of the car was pushed back significantly and then snapped back. Two of the radiators up front were damaged. This was not noticed until they removed the bumper ( pretty much the entire front of the car). That resulted in...

    Damage Repair (Tampa area)

Tesla will tell you to use their certified repair shop which is Dimmitt Cadillac. I would not recommend them. I know there are others on this side of Florida that have recommendations. Hopefully they will chime in.

Supercharger - Barstow (EXPANDED, 5 stalls added, now 16 total)

Don't get your hopes up. Newark , Delaware was down for four days and Tesla didn't do anything to mitigate the issue. In fact there was no communication as to why it was down. It was shown to be down on the NAV screens. And Newark is on a major route from D.C. To Philadelphia and New Jersey.

    Tesla Supercharger network

So the Tesla Supercharger web page currently shows plans for 2016. Any speculation on when this will get updated for 2017? Pretty obvious that is not what the map will look like Day 1 of 2017.

Disney's current position regarding electric chargers

We had a similar experience at Epcot with an ELR with the charge port open but not plugged in. I left a note to inform the owner of just how rude that behavior is. I wonder how Disney security would react if informed?

    Supercharger Snafu

I find it unbelievable that they did not mention pulling logs. That is the first thing that gets done each time I have contacted Service. In fact one time they called me when I didn't know I had an issue!

    High mileage experience?

We have 63,000 miles since June 2014. A full charge now is roughly 253 miles , down from 267 but it has been that way for a year. We usually charge to 175 at home with an occasional full charge when heading out on a long trip. Most of those 63k miles were Supercharged as we take nice long trips...

    Supercharger - Newark, DE

I agree with your assessment. The damage done to the stall is cosmetic and I'm guessing that's not enough to prioritize a repair. We never did get any kind of explanation for the outage did we?

What type of charger? There is nothing shown on Plugshare or Chargepoint for Boardwalk.

    Firmware 8.0 - For Classic Model S

The reports of this release do not lend confidence to the supposedly expert software developers at Tesla. These sound like really amateur errors in the release. Even if it is "working as intended" no team I ever worked on would have let this level of regression out the door.

    Supercharger - Bloomsburg, PA

It is not yet on the Tesla Findus page. I also did not see mention that someone charged there. Notice the orange barrier around the Tesla cabinets in the background. It may not be turned on yet. But it certainly is a bolt from the blue :-)

    Firmware 8.0 - For Classic Model S

Unless I'm missing something in the release notes I don't think we get optional routing for the NAV system. All I wanted was the ability to select other routes similar to the way Google maps works.

    Supercharger - Laurel, MD

My prediction is that NO Supercharger will go online until after September ( otherwise known as after the third quarter). Elon is now forced to play the quarterly earnings game that has been so successful for so many other large corporations.

    Tesla Supercharger network

Does it seem like forward progress on new Superchargers in the US has completely stalled or is that just my perception. It doesn't help that the only change on the Tesla map has been a few grey to red transitions with nothing past 2016.

From the sparse Tesla state of South Carolina

Welcome to the Forum! We have had our car for over two years now. Santee is a regular stop for us on our biannual trips North. When Tesla fills in Superchargers in West Virginia we'll probably drive up through Columbia and on to Pittsburgh like we used to in our ICE.

Disney's current position regarding electric chargers

The Turkey Lake supercharger is in a rest stop on the Florida Turnpike just north of I4. The rest stop has several fast food places and restrooms. Disney's current position regarding electric chargers

The older I get the higher the value I place on my time. The most I have spent at Disney on charging while in the park is $11 which allowed driving straight home from the park. That said you make a good point and Turkey Lake does have convenient amenitities.

Disney's current position regarding electric chargers

Visited the Magic Kingdom today. The good news is that there are now 5 Chargepoint Level 2 chargers located in the handicapped area of the parking lot. the bad news is that they are not yet powered on. Construction on them , according to Plugshare started a month ago. One single is located in...

    Supercharger - Newark, DE

I originally reported the damaged charger on 6/13 .We charged in the stall next to it with no issue that day. There is no way a bike rack did that damage. That is a significant metal tube. My guess would be the bumper of a very large pickup. I doubt the outage has anything to do with the...

400 mile range battery hint on Tesla's main page

Unless you are traveling. Then the size of the battery is not so much about how far you can go but more of how fast you can charge. If a car had a battery supporting 500 miles it would mean on a trip with the current super charging spacing one would be able to charge in the bottom quarter of the...

    Supercharger — Kingsland, GA

Today we stopped to charge in Kingsland on our way home. We got in a nice conversation with the lady behind the information desk. She says she was there when Elon Musk flew in by helicopter ( I assume he was a passenger ) ,landed in the field next to the welcome center and visited with folks...
