Give the trunk a squeeze and it disengages in a matter of seconds. It’s the fastest way for me to do it.

If a current Tesla owner were to place a model 3 deposit down today what is their wait time? If this bumps them up to the front then that sucks for us non-owners. More and more current owners will see this as an opportunity to make $ and will bump the rest of us further back.

And that’s saying it nicely. To me it makes the entire wheel look smaller which makes it way less desireable. What I’d like to see is someone removing the cover and wrapping the 18” rim in black or a lighter gray than stock with a black/gray center cap.

I saw 2 last week and prior to that I hadn’t seen any at all. The 2 that I saw were in PV and Manhattan Beach. They are definitely around the area now and my buddy says he has been seeing them more regularly at the Hawthorne supercharger. We should have a South Bay meet up. :)

My friend just got his email to configure today. She is not an employee, however, is a current Model S owner who stood in line on day 1 and lives in SoCal. Delivery scheduled for 4 weeks from now.

Could be a port for an 18” subwoofer that goes into the bottom compartment of the trunk.:D

According to another thread in another forum by an actual owner that hole appears to be a possible vent to help equalize trunk and cabin temperatures.
