This is a heavy car mainly due to the batteries in the floor of the car. If it were to flip over that's a heck of a lot of weight coming down.

You don't need to have a power liftgate to pop the trunk remotely. Pneumatic struts or springs can do it just fine. Worst case I think people would want some way to unlock it without having to go to an app or sticking a key in the trunk or going into the car and flipping a latch. Now, to close...

I can see it already. Key card in wallet, wallet in back pocket, swipe butt on door handles to unlock car. While RFID or NFC is fairly reliable, I think it can be easily hacked.

Is it even safe to put latch points in a removable deck?

I'm looking for a fun to drive decent performance car within a reasonable budget. Reducing my carbon footprint is not a top priority of mine when it comes to cars. If the model 3 doesn't fit the bill then I'll be getting an Audi A4/A6 or a BMW 3 or 5 series.

I'm all for dark wheels but only if they fill up the wheel wells. Those dark aeros are fugly. Reminds me of the spare tire donuts people would laugh at when you drove on one after getting a flat.

It's a discounted battery upgrade. The hardware will already be there. It's just a matter of unlocking it via software. Won't cost them anything more to do and it will allow them to get an early read on the battery performance.
