Loose trim around rear hatch window

I popped the rear hatch today and noticed that the trim around the rear hatch window is a bit loose. It curves into the windowed area. It didn't pop back in when I pressed on it. I figure it is best to just leave it alone. Anyone successfully popped this back in? I'm not sure this warrants...

Considering a Plaid...but do you think it's "worth it"?

On month six of my Plaid. I came out of 2020 BMW M5. I have nothing but excitement every time I drive my Plaid. I love this car. Will get another one most likely.

2023 - Has anyone received a fully working/no issue MSP?

First MSP for me taken in December. Had to have the rear bumper repained and the diffuser replaced. This was due to a different factory paint color having dripped on my grey car and under the clear coat.

    My wheel literally fell off

I saw a Model S non-refresh on the side of the road recently during my morning commute with a wheel that looked just like that and no other damage. So I don’t think it had been hit by anothe vehicle or had hit any object. Glad you are okay.

    New Ring Time!

Porsche has always had a very heavy hp tax. It will be interesting to see how they respond going forward to competition in the market on hp given the EV paradigm.

TIL: Plaid acceleration mode continually conditions battery and affects HVAC?

The only downside to Plaid mode is your smile muscles in your face can get fatigued.

Good point. I was wondering myself about the final speed and what was hindering it.

    2023 Model S Road Noise?

2023 S Plaid and was just driving my wife and talking about how quiet the car is. 21” Michelins. Came out of fairly quiet 2020 M5 so I’m used to quiet cabins.

2021 Model S Plaid Steering Yoke shaking at highway speeds

I drive in sport suspension mode. I have that 80+ vibration as well. Today I put the suspension in comfort and the vibration became much better. Didn’t go away completely. But was pretty subtle.

TIL: Plaid acceleration mode continually conditions battery and affects HVAC?

I live under a rock and had not thought about this. Thanks for posting Blkswn. Makes sense. I still will likely stay in Plaid mode even on trips. On a side note I love the heating and cooling benefits of that subterranean life even if the trade off is deep nescience about Tesla efficiencies.

Having second thoughts about color choice: Midnight Silver Metallic or Blue Metallic?

I've got MSM on white. Love it. blue on white is fantastic. No wrong choice here. But, I love the white and since not real leather have zero issues with dye transfer or getting dirty. They wipe off easily and are less hot during sunny days.

Tire Questions for a 2021 Model S LR

Costco is wrong. In addition to your doorjamb being correct our mutual Tesla S owner's manual lists 255/45/R19 and 285/40/R19 as the proper sizes. Match the correct sizes or you may get errors and odometer issues. I would only run all of one type of tire make/model for the car and not mix and...

    Plaid Regrets?

Was on vacation for two weeks and just drove the S Plaid today. Love this car. Missed driving it. I came out of 20 M5 and will never get used to or bored with the acceleration of the Plaid.

    Appreciate the feedback.
  35. B

Who's getting the normal steering wheel?

Same rattle. Have narrowed it down to the seatback latches. What type of tape did you use? Did you just need to do the horizontal part of the metal "U" or both sides to get the noise to stop?

    Yoke Steering

Youtuber Out of Spec Reviews just did a video on his new round wheel on his S Plaid. Might be of interest. Didn't know if I can post YT links in here.

I’m enjoying the massive step back. You’ll be okay. Go with the wheel.

Further discussion and analysis on why the yoke is not good

Can’t imagine the car without the yoke. Love it. Completely cool with people having different takes on this.

Who's getting the normal steering wheel?

I’m guessing there are liability issues with giving you the airbag which has an explosive charge on it. Just guessing.

Don't trust automatic gear selection on refreshed Model S.

I use it and love it. It is usually right so it saves me a step. I never trust it and always verify the direction that I want to travel. Definitely not turning it off.

Who's getting the normal steering wheel?

Looks like you see less of the middle screen. The big one on your right.
  44. B

Who's getting the normal steering wheel?

Looks like the regular steering wheel also blocks out some of the main center screen as well.

    Other ev manufacturer oem tires

The Plaid exists to convert electrons into joy and occasionally terror.

    Other ev manufacturer oem tires

I think they specifically had to accommodate 1050 ft-lbs of torque that immediately occurs at 1 rpm. So that is immensely closer to exotic cars than KIAs.
