Anyone ever had a seat replaced?

How much was that, awhile ago I inquired about doing that and they said 5000$ installed.

    Unofficial windows phone app

I don't think Tesla's remote API has support for controlling that yet. Hopefully they'll be adding ability to change current, charge timer start time, and turning on the front/rear defrost [de-ice mode]. Those I'd make use of too

Another update is now live (v0.5.5) - This further improves the wake from sleep handling, and will now vibrate when its woken up (so you don't have to stare for 30s waiting) - Adds amount of last charge(or current charge) to the Charge screen, if your car is on 5.x+ and supplying that data

    Model S REST API

I noticed with the 5.8 update (was on 5.6) that now when I pre-heat the car in the morning, the resT api is reporting a/c is on where it didn't before. In the car i'm set to 'auto' but it now highlights a/c on instead of off while heating, maybe someone changed a default value somewhere, or...

An Update to Tesla Connect for WindowsPhone is now live (v0.5.4) - this adds the improved car visual on the status screen (same as the windows8 version has - showing a car with your color / but not wheel type yet) - improves wake from sleep for people with car's updated to v5.x firmware Wake...

    Replacement Key Fob Cost?

I just got 2 new fobs at the bellevue service center last week. cost is 300$ each + 50$ labor for re-programming. In my case, I ended up paying just for 1 fob (lost key), the other was covered under warranty (the plastic over one of the buttons came of). Since they had to do reprogramming...

    Model S REST API

I have existing stuff in place to wake_up, if the response had been immediate true, I wouldn't have errors popping up in my app... I was able to get some of the info I was looking for, but the car had already woken up by the time it made the wake_up request when I was in the debugger getting...

    Model S REST API

I'm curious about this too -- what response do you get when the car is asleep, and whats a good way to wake it up? My car was updated to 5.6 yesterday, last night after charging for a few hours, it had gone to sleep and when I tried to connect, I got errors from the mobile enabled check and the...

    Unofficial windows phone app

improved car graphics coming soon to phone - and other updates for both. by small, do you mean the map isn't filling up like 80-90% of the overall view, or that its zoomed out too much by default or something? (if the former, does snapping and/or unsnapping help?)

    Unofficial windows phone app

Sorry, no. The app uses the new windows 8 platform so its specific to windows 8 / windows RT machines (surface) Win7 you can probably use bluestacks or visibletesla ?

    Unofficial windows phone app

Authentication flaws in the REST API (if you give 3rd party your private login info)

One small point, even though the Tesla API doesn't have a required way for apps to identify themselves, from the beginning I made sure my windowsphone app tells Tesla who it is and what version it is on all requests, so they have the option of selectively blocking me. (and have the ability to...

An update is coming soon-ish which shows the charge limit indicator and fixes a bug with the charge timer setting not always showing. Further updates coming but my laptop was destroyed last week, I was able to get the mini-ssd out of it though, in a week I should have an adapter to read its...

    Model S REST API

Tesla's streaming service doesn't send the proper no-cache http headers in the response, so if using straight http gets, your client should cache the responses so you'll get duplicate data. One workaround for this is to add something unique to the querystring that tesla will ignore. The other...

    Model S REST API

the negative value for charger_power (-52kW) maybe was what they saw, or 0/0A. I guess fast_charger_present means to look at different values
  21. A

    Model S REST API

What platform are you running this on? I had to workaround an issue on windowsphone and the streaming api when the car is not moving (no data + not providing a content-length) which results in an out of memory exception you can't catch. The non-phone http stacks don't have the bug. - - -...

Door Handles: Auto Presenting *AND* Auto Opening Doors?

kind of the same thing..? tonight when I put the car in park, the driver's door made the door latch opening noise and popped open on its own. I had another door handle just fixed that wouldn't always go in while driving, thats now a 'new' handle compared that has some give before opening...

Washington State Good To Go Pass - best installation location?

I have a front plate pass, of course works perfectly. is the other problem people have here that they don't have their front plate mounted? I do have a slight issue that my front plate mount wasn't installed to have the top screw holes usable, so my front plate pass is installed on the lower...

    Blue or Brown: Opinions?

I have brown, and park near a blue S every day at work -- they're both good colors but inside a parking garage it is close to black. For awhile some co-workers thought he had a black car (even one who had ridden in it), and similarly some thought we had 3 S' in the garage because they were...

Anyone here using the Windows Phone app "Tesla Connect"?

No Live tiles support at the moment. Having a live tile and an always running background task could give at a glance battery level (or charging status), as well as some historical charting or something, but as of yet that didn't seem like super useful information. As for login info/user...

Anyone here using the Windows Phone app "Tesla Connect"?

Yes also an owner. There should be very little functional missing in comparison to the iphone/android apps. A few things are different (different source for maps, GPS reverse lookup to address), but it has some extras like telling you the charge timer setting even after charge completes...

Handle issue for non tech package?

presence of fob seems finicky, for those with the tech package (I do), often walking up to the car does not extend the handles. If you try pressing them, they're not going to open. pressing the unlock button the fob will get them to present, then they work. So i'd guess the issue is just that...

Is anyone only charging for free at a supercharger?

While I'm not advocating it or think its in good form, if someone is daily charging at a SC -- maybe if that's just during the weekdays when Tesla has said usage of the SC is not at its peak (weekend use gets the most), they might get away with it without annoying everyone, at least they likely...

Seat memory now part of Tech Package?

ah yes, the upgraded textile seats mean all are the same, still driver profiles have more than seat memory.
