    [UK] 2023.44

That is exactly how I drove for over three hours yesterday without issue on 44.30.2. No different to previous updates.

    [UK] 2023.44

I tend to agree. I do look down at the screen when changing music or something I can't do using voice control but only when using AP & nothing is close by, hence having the camera blocked. So far I'm not getting any nags or warnings about that.

Tesla employing people to assist at Superchargers

Yes, the same at Rugby SuC yesterday afternoon. Two guys with 'Parking Help' across the back of their coats. No mention of Tesla though and they were standing between the Tesla and the Gridserve charging stations (picnicking when I arrived but not all stalls were full in either)
  4. Drew57

    [UK] 2023.44

The nag still appears to be 15 seconds as before, as per the regulatory requirement & when driving on AP I can see no difference.

    2023 Holiday Update

Maybe that’s so but in three years of Tesla ownership I can only recall disengagement twice early on when I didn’t hold the wheel sufficiently well. Yesterdays 300 miles, mostly AP had no issues in spite of the camera being covered.

    2023 Holiday Update

Thanks all, so I do have Ryzen, a cover on the cabin camera & don't get any nagging or disengagements. It's exactly as before. All good

    2023 Holiday Update

I've driven over 300.miles today, mostly motorway and dual carriageway using the camera blocker I posted about earlier. A couple of warnings appeared if I wasn't holding the wheel properly & no disengagements occurred when I lightly held it with my right hand exactly as I have done for the past...

    UK Aug 23 Insurance Recommendations

Non fault with my original Model 3 in 2021 & a new door outer skin with matching respray on the lower sill via a Tesla approved body shop. 2023 Holiday Update

I regularly meet up with a Model Y forum member in America & he gave me this last month as he had a spare. He may use it primarily for blocking the radical left child eating satanists from hacking into his Tesla but nevertheless I've fitted it to the interior camera since receiving the holiday...

    2023 Holiday Update

First time shopping since I got 44.30.2 a few days ago. I edged up to the car facing me and assumed that I was too far back in the bay as I could see the Tesla overhanging the rear lines. However, this was actually spot on when I got out to look, the Mercedes in front was right on the line and I...

    [UK] 2023.44

I got quite excited when I saw that as a heading in the screen release notes when I downloaded 44.2, thinking it might help soften the hard ride on my Model Y 🤷‍♂️

    2023 Holiday Update

I have the speed limit bongs set to chime at 3mph over (33, 43, 53 etc) & works very well in encouraging me to lift-off the accelerator when it happens. Very useful when I hadn't noticed or there are rapid changes as you mention.

    2023 Holiday Update

HFPA has removed the distance guesstimates, most likely because Tesla finally realise that they are wildly inaccurate. Better for them to have visually impressive images where there is less liability for the vagueness & damage can be attributed to driver interpretation rather than misleading...

    2023 Holiday Update

I don't rely on the app for locations never mind trips with multiple stops, preferring to share from Apple Maps & then edit/add other locations via the car screen if necessary. Several times I've planned a location via the app & the car has shown something different whereas if I share from...

Solar Panels UK - is it worth it?

@GlynG mentioned FIT which also applies to my PV system so I believe the potential of filling at cheap rate and exporting during saving sessions would not be possible unless we forego the scheme and transfer to SEG (but lose the quarterly deemed 50% export payment which wouldn’t justify the...

    [UK] 2023.44

Likewise, 500 miles to Suffolk and back over the weekend and still no issues to report (44.1, basic Autopilot and settings quite similar to yours). For more than two years updates come and go, people report changes in the cars behaviour but mine has, if anything improved slightly over that...

Solar Panels UK - is it worth it?

I've used a LawnMaster cordless mower for several years & there's no longer a cable to damage when 'this' old sod is plodding up and down. Rechargeable battery & a wide cut similar to a typical petrol mower. It leaves a very nice striped lawn & it's only needed during the seasons when solar...

Referral miles - transfer to new car?

I had in excess of 6000 remaining at the time and also sold the Model 3 privately for a significantly better price than Tesla would give but it was annoying having to hang onto it for a month longer than necessary (less than 500 miles remaining now until expiry in May so I have made good use of...

Referral miles - transfer to new car?

That is not what Tesla told me last December when my local SC checked with the European HQ in the Netherlands so it sounds like they have since relaxed the policy. Yes they were locked to the existing account but I was told the new Tesla had to appear on that account at the same time as the...

    BBC Article - Tesla Whistleblower

I only had severe phantom braking incidents back in 2020 & since then a few with gentle slowing from time to time which I'm ready for. Nevertheless I would never allow any Tesla to drive autonomously without covering the accelerator.

    Model X - Y : up or downgrade??

I've just come back from another six weeks driving the family X in the USA. It has the feel and ride of a proper luxury car & the panoramic windscreen is fabulous. My Model Y doesn't come close I'm afraid, nice though it is.

    BBC Article - Tesla Whistleblower

Likewise but journalists could have a field day with some of the outrage expressed on this forum. I believe my car is only 'safe' because I have adapted to the failings in Teslas software and use it accordingly with settings that only provide warnings, not actions. I also wonder how many new...

    [UK] 2023.44

Yes, although Autopilot continues to work without any dramas (now on 44.1 & including 250 miles on Thursday) I'm continually getting the same warning on screen. I'm also seeing a lot of 'cameras blocked or blinded' messages - a regular seasonal Tesla feature.

Windscreen crack this morning after defrosting

Because my current Tesla is a Model Y, the heat more easily percolates throughout & this opened without issue after warming the cabin. I don't recall an issue when I had a Model 3 but never had a very cold snap when returning from overseas so maybe that could have been a different result.
  37. Drew57

Windscreen crack this morning after defrosting

I recall seeing posts about the results of excessive heat on Tesla glass during the first winter I owned a Tesla so since then I use the app to set climate to around 24º C and make sure a/c is disabled. This warms the car slowly & normally achieves the desired result without risk of cracking...

    Tesla Vision

Yes, I'm 'inflicted' with it and the only area of almost 'parity' is when reversing with a clean rear camera in daylight (excepting low sun) or good lighting. Rear distance measurements are now improved and vision is OK with the three camera feeds plus mirrors. Kerb identification is also useful...
