I'm posting here because I have a RWD model Y coming soon and I plugged in my details for insurance. $4k annual! I was gobsmacked. Turned out it's my address causing it. Even a postcode right next to me is $2k less. What in earth is going on? I live in South West Sydney. This is killing me 😅

One question - A lot of people here have been eagerly awaiting their VIN or even contacting Tesla to get it. Is there a purpose to knowing your VIN ahead of delivery? I have mine and I don't understand the fuss on knowing it 😅

I agree. The car will come, probably around your due date and unfortunately tracking the ship doesn't make it arrive faster. Tesla will let us know when it's ready and then the big excitement can begin.

Registration paperwork came in which had my VIN too. All done. Time to wait impatiently very patiently.

Unfortunately my house isn't connected the national petrol grid so I still have to drive to one of those weird petrol filling stations. If it was through, I wouldn't mind a hose with my ICE car purchase. 👌

Y Yes got the SMS first stating the vehicle has been assigned, and then the email shortly afterwards with the vessel name. No VIN yet on my paperwork but I had an outstanding trade-in that may have held up things as someone else has posted above. I cancelled that trade-in due to better offers.
