Anyone selling cars makes $ on the buy not the sell. Trades will always be low or attempt to get it lower than market so they can turn a profit on the deal. Sell private applies to all car sales.
My 2016 Subaru Legacy cost me $32k new and when in looked to trade it in 6 months in I was...
In addition to speed, the wheels also play a factor in not hitting rated range. I switched from 18” Aeros to 19” sport wheels and my wh/mile figures have gone up.
Same was said with the key fob in my former Model S’s and it still worked great. I’m less concerned about the handful of times we get in the car at the same time (default to a primary) vs the times we use the car solo and it doesn’t differentiate at all when it should be pretty simple to do so.
Correct. Also it only apples to S and X inventory that has the “old” drive train and suspension. If you want a car with the longer range (model 3 front motor) and active suspension the best you’ll get us referral miles
Only issue was that there is only one middle seat and they all want to sit in the middle!
The biggest “issue” is that the top of the car seat creases into the headrest on the seat (same on my Model 3). I put a towel between the seat and car seat and after removing them from my S was able to...
I have 2 that I don’t use because I got a nomad wireless charger. Would probably be cheaper for you to buy direct from Tesla than what it would cost to ship mine.
Model 3 Phone Charging Cable
Mph and kph is a display setting for all vehicles regardless of destination. You can also toggle 12hr vs 24 hr clock for example or energy to display % or mile/km
I gave a test drive to a coworker the other day on 8.5 and when he got in I got to show him how to reboot bc the screen was going wild. This was his first time ever in a Tesla, fortunately we work in software and understand this is part of the bleeding edge. I promise you that I’ve never had...
90% would really be 92% daily, maybe not a big deal. That approach would make the SR less appealing.
Historically Tesla top limits them from the S40 to the refresh S60 and X60’s all upper end capped. Wouldn’t expect them to change now.
Prior to software version 8.5 I had zero screen reboots. Since 8.5 it has been frequent. I’d see if you can get it in writing that the software update will remediate the issue otherwise you can return the car.
Understood and annoying that you have uncertainty. Depending how far you commute you may be Ok with the 120 outlet that comes with the car and gets 5mph of range and the j1772 for public chargers and superchargers
18 and 19” do fit the P if you have a machine shop bore out the hub opening on the wheel. The brake size is OK but for whatever reason Tesla went with a different hub size
New tread is 9/32 and legally bald is 2/32.
So of the useable 7/32 of tread the seller has stated that 3/32 has worn (from 9/32 to 6/32), leaving 4/32 of usable legal life remaining. 4 divided by 7 is 57% or 60% as the OP stated if you round up.
For reference I traded my 18” aero wheels for 19” sports + $750 cash this month. Both were identical condition and complete. The seller wanted Aero’s originally but got an end of quarter inventory car and it had 19’s on it and Tesla wouldn’t swap for Aeros.
18” complete sets sell for...
Asking price is a big reach and sadly folks don’t pay market value for used Tesla wheels (20” performance sets that are brand new take offs go for $2,500 all day long).
Tesla sells the 19” wheels for $320/each or $1,280 for a set. Add tires at $270 each and tpms and you’re still not close to...
Very cool. Did the car throw the hazards on automatically due to the g forces?
Was this just with slip start enabled and regen low or did you pull the wheel speed sensor or something else?
What do they even run for new from Tesla? Understood they are likely backordered until Tesla makes P3D owners whole so you may be looking for a premium.
I put some towels between the car seat and the Tesla seats to minimize creasing on the pleather.
On my last two S’s any creases or marks came out with a hair dryer and a bit of a massage.
