    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Took delivery yesterday evening. All good. Looks like all the other the other Mc reds. A bit too bright for my tastes, but the signature red is long gone. 17 mi @delivery. ~50 mi driven so far. 4th EAP car in the Austin metro. Down to just cruise control (not even TACC). Miss...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Update from my DS: In production now and being prepped for paint (yes, she said all that). Proforma shows Dec 12th. DS says Dec 1st week. i am beside myself.

    AutoPilot 2 Delivery Thread

It sure is strange that Tesla has shipped no new cars to forum members here for 3 weeks. i'd imagine that anyone who looks up "My Tesla" will get to TMC in about 5 minutes. How in the world are they going to deliver 25k cars in 2 months (Nov & Dec)?

Still on the fence: Model 3 vs Model S

Early Leaf adopter here. 80 mi range degraded to 50 before Nissan replaced the traction battery under warranty. The 3.3 kW onboard charger tested my patience more times than i can remember. Still my zen car and i can leave the $100k ICE cars in the dust from a stoplight. Finally broke...

    Insurance On Model S?

I asked Tesla sales about the full self driving capability...

My guess is that new owners will get even more incentives to buy (actually test) the new software if they don't sign up before delivery. Tesla is essentially starting with a clean slate on machine / deep learning and needs plenty of beta testers. On a related note, Tesla's financials are...

I asked Tesla sales about the full self driving capability...

For current orders, E-AP & FSDC prices are quoted for both & after delivery. That is not going to increase. The increases we are presented with now reflect the updated hardware.

I asked Tesla sales about the full self driving capability...

Price is not going up more than $1,000 for current orders. > The $1000 increase in price after delivery is not fixed, however, and could change in the future. That would be a long, weary phone call for me. What got me about FSDC is the compete pie-in-the-sky promise with the unknown...

    Wanted: MX 60D Reservation Takeover

There does not appear an easy way to transfer a reservation. Especially on a discontinued model. Folks who configured a X60D and confirmed after the change got a confirmation for a X75D. An inventory car might be your best bet. But the instant depreciation hit would be painful because...

Finally the right time to buy a Model S!

Indeed, Tesla lives on the bleeding edge. This appears the only way they can keep selling cars. There is only a small percentage of the population (~1%) who can afford the cars AND can stomach the uncertainty. Reminds me of the "go-go" era of the Internet (early 1990s).

I leased my 70D. Should I really care about charging only to 90%??

IIRC, the 70 cars were upgradeable to 75 kWh for $3,000 not too long ago. If true, then a 100% charge in reality is ~93%. Only slightly different than all of the recent 60 owners charging to 100%.

    Model X 60D is Gone

i have a saved X60D configuration in my profile that "requires order payment to proceed". The design is not editable but can it be ordered as-is? Likely going with the S but it is nice to consider the alternative.

Chevy Bolt - 200 mile range for $30k base price (after incentive)

EOY is hurling towards us. Has anybody seen the car yet? Where is the market for this car? i don't see any good reason for the Tesla faithful to switch allegiance. Yes, it is priced attractively (i paid exactly that much for a Leaf 5 yrs ago).

Model 3 Res Holder Tests Drives First Electric Car...

i've been to both locations (gallery @Domain & Service center @Pond Springs) multiple times during the past month. The customer experience has been outstanding every time. Friendly, helpful employees and a low-pressure environment.

    The reasonably* priced Model S

In the same boat, trying to pick options. Reserved a (poor man's) Silver S60 with pano only. Trying to decide between cloth & ng black seats. $66 K otr (so far, excluding the ng seats, including the tax break). Is this the cheapest T yet?

    Alliant CU bait and switch

Yeah, about that credit score. Takes 5 minutes to find yours online. Free once a year. This thread is not credible without that key data point. The score itself is mostly good only for one thing - taking up even more debt.

Tesla Investor's General Macroeconomic / Market Discussion

3Q ends today. Should be a firecracker. Earnings call is on Nov 1st. Why is it that it takes the company more time to tabulate & release earnings than build a custom car?

    Next gen seats

The online Configurator now show Mid-2017 delivery for just grey seats. All other colors are available for Sept. IMHO, Grey is the most appealing color of all the S / X choices. Easy on the eyes and gives out a bright, natural vibe.
