    Making my model Y safer

This thread got me rolling. So much chatter hate from the purist. First of all NOTHING wrong with making personal improvements for your own car. Second The factory setup is the ideal design Tesla team THINKS works well for most people, doesn’t mean it will. We can talk about factory color...

H&R Springs and Koni Yellow Shocks Installed

That looks good! I bet driving feel is much more controlled. The feeling of road imperfections should always be pronounced. allows you as a driver to react, otherwise we would become numb not expecting certain scenarios leading to false assumptions.

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

Sounds like it's working! From our understanding Ingenext mods are translating official signals to the drive units based on their feature sets. Power curve is modified, therefore pedal will allow more power at varying points. Braking is definitely affected. Basically acceleration zones have...

Curious what 2023 Winter Update will bring. I'm hoping for Track Mode for those that have factory AB. Should pair well with those who updated to Ghost on top. I know crazy.. lol.

    Model Y Suspension Suggestions

Not mad at all or putting it on you. I’m calling out Tesla. Haha sorry if I didnt communicate that properly. Part of the problem and misconception falls with techs and cs who are not trained properly or have any form of nuance to the cars they service and sell. Is that the tech themselves...

    Model Y Suspension Suggestions

I’m calling BS on the void warranty, those CS have no idea what they are talking about. They can only deny a claim since this isn’t the original part of your vin if you have any direct issues related to it, what makes it more infuriating is the fact they are willing to install, yet lack of...

I asked Rishi from Zevcentric this question on his comparison video. He mentioned damping and springs are different. Not by much. Height for sure.

    Model Y Suspension Suggestions

Ah sorry i missed your original post. Before I swapped my 23 shocks for Ohlins, i felt they were just enough stiffness whle retaining some form of comfort for my rear passengers over smaller bumps, just not compliant under load. It's probably more to do wholistically with the rear end rather...

    Model Y Suspension Suggestions

That's fair, you should create a thread asking that specific question. Perhaps someone in your region has that setup wouldn't mind a RL demo and drive. Suspension is 100% personal preference. What is it about the rear you need to solve for? Rears have a lot going on back there. Floaty...

Vendor Show Off Your Aftermarket Model Y Wheels

Yes this is correct. Brembo rears were available for MYP up until mid-2022. It's really not that different from the Mando units since they're both Sliding single piston and 320mm rotors. I suppose Brembo do get credit for being more solid since it's molded.

THIS 100%. If one is considering a suspension upgrade towards performance or comfort, you need to commit. the price paid for those more expensive setups are all in QA, testing, and overall quality. Not to say Tein is worse, they have higher end products, it's just in comparison to what's...

2023 Model Y: Performance vs Acceleration Boost vs Long Range

People will always nag, especially those that don't know any better. I actually own a MYLR7, no "P" option for me, if only right? we all have our reasons. In lieu of that I've basically replaced suspension and brakes, added acceleration boost and prepping for ghost. I get asked all the time why...

Ohhhnoooo!! 780! *sugar*, only has 600A, not enough to be hopeful. Most of the one's compatible are 800A. New Mountain Pass Performance (MPP) Comfort Coilovers

Congrats! You basically laid out all the factory issues with stock suspension. I'll be the one to say this, stock MY suspension SUCKS for comfort, performance, and drivability. Is there any technical information available about Model Y Suspensions?

Would love this info! I haven't been able to locate any official data. There's a rudimentary non-scientifc discussion around this with ZEVCentric. Important info would be spring rates and heignt, progressive or linear, compression and rebound characteristics.

No worries you're good. Having an LR is the right path. Both Boost and Ghost provide all the same features. I've heard you can always upgrade to Ghost later if you find out you have the correct drive motor. here's a video from Ingenext to help identify your rear drive motor

2023 Model Y: Performance vs Acceleration Boost vs Long Range

Is your MY a regular AWD non-LR? Thinking of a reasonable path towards Performance power parity. If LR and you have a 980/4D1/740 Rear Drive motor Ingenext Ghost is your best bet to meet and beat a MYP. Otherwise we’re limited to factory Acceleration Boost or Boost 50. I don’t think the...
