    Lexus LS460 19" Rims on Model S

I see, thank you. Is the offset so that the rims don't hit the caliper?

    Lexus LS460 19" Rims on Model S

Is 33-37mm an answer? I seemed to have found a site that lists that.

    Lexus LS460 19" Rims on Model S

Trying to figure out what I'm missing. I have a set of 5-spoke OEM Lexus LS460 19" rims with new Primacy MX4 tires. According to spec, they are a 5x120 bolt pattern. Low and behold, it looks like the Tesla OEM rims are 19" on my S90D and come with a 5x120 bolt pattern. Any reason the Lexus rims...

    EMMC replacement/screen bubbles

Exact same thing happened to me last month. Car is 5 years old, 140k miles, *never* had any bubble issues until they took apart the dash to do the emmc repair. Way too much of a coincidence.

    SolarEdge Inverter Issue-DC Error

Not sure if I mentioned these details, my SE10000H with screen was replaced with a SetApp unit 18 months ago when I first got that error message. It's been running for 18 months without issue, and I've had maybe a dozen or so Powerwall events. So that's another good sign.

    Model S Horn Replacement

I haven't done a lot of repairs on my Model S, but surprisingly, a lot of things are pretty standardized. The audio system especially, follows industry standard color codes.

I think it's a guaranteed hardware replacement unfortunately. Deal with SolarEdge directly if you can.

    Model S Horn Replacement

Around 5 months ago, I was driving through a parking lot and hit a deceivingly shallow puddle. The water had enough force to go up into the lower grill area and pop the pre-refresh nose cone off. That part snapped back on and there didn't seem to be any other damage at the time.... Until I...

    Preventive eMMC replacement on MCU1

    Preventive eMMC replacement on MCU1

No way a 2013 has the 64GB chip. You are in the club, welcome.
  23. S

    Preventive eMMC replacement on MCU1

Yeah, did we come to different conclusions? We might be in disagree on the fact that Tesla is able to "fix" a known hardware defect by using software. My guess is that if anything, they hid the symptoms by break something else, like disabling the browser and/or USB media to free up memory. But...

eMMC Repair is now covered for 8yrs 100k

Fun fact, email notification states "100k mile or 8yrs". Website in the MyTesla warranty addendum now says "100k/8yrs, whichever comes first". I saved the email.

Near annual replacement of 12V battery is typical according to Tesla Service Tech

Now, if I charge my laptop from the cig lighter, that will definitely get me a low 12v battery warning within 30min or so.
  32. S

If you fast charge, Tesla will permanently throttle charging

Yes, 100%. Because the battery warranty would cover the failure. Then it would be at least definitive failure too, since the service centers have now deemed that dicking around customers to make them "prove" the charge-gate/battery-gate/MCUv1 problem is really happening. Ugh, I get so fired up...

Near annual replacement of 12V battery is typical according to Tesla Service Tech

I have 2 590's and an after-market sub. I would say my 12v experience does not support that claim that it speeds up 12v failure.

Whoa, I have a quote here for $175.....
  37. S

    Preventive eMMC replacement on MCU1

It doesn't mean anything. It's a cash grab. You'll pay the $175, it won't fix anything, and then maybe they'll come back and say the eMMC repair is now available to you. But it just helped them cut a chunk off that $500 price they would have had to eat. Hell, maybe they're making money on the...

Supercharger - Charlotte, NC - Northlake Centre Parkway

Yes, both in personal conversations as well as just looking at the license plates. While it's not 100% scientific, generally speaking at a supercharger, you see 50/50 in terms of in-state vs. out-of-state plates. In Charlotte, and granted I'll give you we haven't been down since January of last...

Supercharger - Charlotte, NC - Northlake Centre Parkway

This is great to hear since in the 7 years of Tesla ownership the only place I've *ever* had to wait for charging in the entire area east of the Rocky Mountains... is the Charlotte Supercharger. Because of bunch of you locals go over there and charge during lunch/afternoon; either because you...

    Preventive eMMC replacement on MCU1

I think you are unequivocally correct. This is *exactly* the way Tesla would handle this based on 7 years of ownership.
