    Model S90D Battery Degradation?

True, that might have been why they wanted to sell the car. It was at a dealer.

    Model S90D Battery Degradation?

The guys at Tesla were nice enough. I randomly entered the service building and at first thought it was empty. Once I found the people working, they tried to explain it away. I can't see how an 11% loss in four years with 23k miles is normal. I teach physics (and I'm a lawyer, hence my...

    Model S90D Battery Degradation?

I was going to buy a 2016 Tesla with 23k miles. The battery at 100% was 261 miles. I spoke to Tesla (I physically visited a service center since I couldn't get someone on the phone after three days). They said this was normal and fine. That's an 11% drop over four years and not a lot of miles...

    Cost of battery replacement

If I buy the 2016 I'm looking at, that would be four years to see if the motor or battery needs to be replaced. I have been avoiding luxury cars based on the incredibly high cost of repairs. My Jaguar required 10k in repairs in four years and it only got to 60k miles before it became worth less...

    Cost of battery replacement

What is the cost of battery or motor replacement? (1) If I buy a used Model S, the warranty is for eight years or an unlimited amount of miles (2) The new Model S is capped at 150k miles I drive 50k/yr on average with my 2017 Prius Prime. I used to drive a 2007 Prius, which we still have...

Advice on buying a used Model S P90D

The Tesla warranty is a major selling point. They remove supercharging though. I drive 600 miles per week for my commute and we put 50k per year on the car I commute with (currently a 2017 Prius Prime with about 150k, but we still have the 2007 Prius with almost 500k miles).

Advice on buying a used Model S P90D

I have also been looking at a used 90D. I was going to drive the 2+ hours to the dealer, and it occurred to me to ask to see if the car was charged. I had already been driving for a half hour and pulled over to call. The car was dead. Apparently, it needed a 12v. This was for a few year old...

Buying from 3rd party or private party

That's really great to know about the warranty. I'm still looking. Could I still get an extended warranty from Tesla for a 2014-2016 Model S?

    Model S Economics

Hello. I'm trying to decide on the best course of action on a Tesla. I drive over 50k miles a year. My work commute is 120 miles per day, and we travel on the weekends 200 miles each way to our vacation home. I used to drive a Jaguar, but when I changed jobs, I bought a Prius. I have a...

Buying from 3rd party or private party

How would you know if the unlimited charging feature was still available on the vehicle? Thanks.
