    v9.0 speculation

This is not correct, first you must have TACC & Auto Lane engaged and second with firmware 2018.28.5, you Just have to start with the current speed limit and that it (nothing to do with original setting) !
  35. PatrickCH4313

    v9.0 speculation

On highway you still have to ajust/match the speed limit. It was on a secondary road between Rheinfelden (AG) and Möhlin (AG) limited to 80 km/h and some parts to 60 km/h. The autopilot still don't read speed signs yet, it's still getting speed signs using GPS information.
  36. PatrickCH4313

    v9.0 speculation

Sure, it has something to do with this firmware version (confirmed by the Service Center) or may be started with 2018.26.3. It's an AP 2.5 Model X with MCU 2 (June 2018).

    v9.0 speculation

I had the opportunity to drive a Model X P100D this weekend. This model got the firmware 2018.28.5. I was surprised to see the autopilot (TACC + auto lane) adjusting the speed limit up and down without having to match manually the max speed each time. I was driving on a secondary road and the...

Firmware 9 in August will start rolling out full self-driving features!!!

I believe it has something to do with FSD when you need a great accuracy of location. "So far we've used the US GPS (Global Positioning System) which is accurate up to a few metres. Galileo has the potential to offer accuracy up to a few centimetres." That will make the difference for FSD.
  40. PatrickCH4313

Firmware 9 in August will start rolling out full self-driving features!!!

I have a general question regarding "satellite navigation system", do we know which system is used by Tesla : GPS (US Military system) or Galileo (EU civilian system) or both.

    Software Update 2018.24.1 12dd099

Since 2018.24.1, when TACC + auto lane are engaged, auto speed reduction (on secondary roads) is not working anymore ! Before when driving at 80 km/h and entering a 50 km/h area, you got a message telling that the speed will be reduce to 50 km/h for exemple.
