In the 5-6 times I've had to take my model X to my SC, I've never gotten a tesla. Always an ICE rental. they do cover the gas though. It's ranged from Hyundai to Infiniti to jaguar... On the bright side it reminded me why tesla is so awesome (when it's working). Something like this happens...

Just wanted to thank you all for spreading the word about Progressive. I just checked, they were over $1000 cheaper per year compared to all state, who had covered me previously. My all state agent advised me to switch now and keep it as long as I can.

I'm thinking about Model 3, but was actually trying to hold off for non-PUP because I was hedging against the glass roof. Did you tint the MX windshield or use the sun shade? I added a piece of cloth to the included sun shade, so it is good to hear it may be better on M3 than MX but any more...

Sorry to hear your experience. Their store is the worst. I had to return a product and it took me 5 emails over 3 weeks. I could never find a phone number, and if you call national they don't have a number for them either. The cable organizer, if that's what you ordered, may take like 4 weeks...

Definitely call ahead to save yourself a trip. My SC said the screen is backordered and they've ordered it for me, will tell me when it arrives.

Did you try Parts department directly? You may also just try calling again. I had to call 4 times before I found someone willing to sell it to me. Otherwise the FilterBuy MERV13 would still be a benefit I would think.

This is super helpful!!! I'll have to try this. I avoid moving seats up and down if possible because I don't want it to break again if fix takes so long. I can live with a manual switch though.

I don't know it really happens but I read it air filters aren't installed in the correct air flow direction they may not work properly. Maybe check with the manufacturer of your filter to see if it matters for their filter which direction it is installed?

I think most people here think it does. Several members have reported improvement from smells and things like that from areas that typically smell terrible when they drive by after installation of the filter. My SC told me non-pup cars don't have the right ducts for this, but given how do many...

I too only bought the filter. As mattack4000 said install takes less than an hour. No special tools needed, or skills. I have no experience with cars and never opened the area where this goes, and install was indeed quite easy. Just 20 bolts that were not difficult at all to take off.

Took me 4 calls. Eventually got one by talking with parts dept. Good luck, pm me if any questions or want more details.

With the fires nearby in Southern California, I decided it was time to attempt the installation. Happy to report it was super quick, even screwing/unscrewing the bolts manually. Less than an hour to do it, thanks to Jays200 videos above!

You can try the Parts department directly if you went to Service at first. I called 4 times, the second time with parts department I got someone willing to sell just the filter to me. All that being said the Filterbuy would be a great way to go too without the hassle.

I wrote about this on Model X thread but for anyone with MX who was looking for ideas in this thread, I was able to get OEM Tesla MX HEPA filter from my local SC for $175+tax. They won't install or activate BWD for me... Hopefully install is as easy as the MS. Thanks Crehop for the inspiration!

Which service center do you go to? I called mine, in San Diego, they said that an internal email two weeks ago said to stop offering the retrofit so my SC is not willing to install the hepa filter. They said it costs $175 but the retrofit includes other necessary hardware so they would not order...

When I got the car, the delivery specialist said Model S only the windshield has UV protection, but all windows in model X had UV protection. I've not found any real proof though...

I believe Tesla claims 99%+ UV rejection but we always use the included sunshade just in case. It helps significantly, and honestly I don't mind the decreased visibility up top at all. We are in southern CA.

I would also consider AP1 vs AP2. Regarding build quality I have a Dec 2016 model x and I did have to go to service center 4 times in the first few months of ownership to get a couple things that broke fixed. It's only been like 3 months since our last service center visit so I think jury is...

Many including myself have had the opposite problem--seat won't fold up. Another Model X Problem!!! 3rd row seat stuck in down position. The "repair" was to just replace the entire seat... mine took 6 weeks. I'm scared to fold the third row now especially if we know we have guests coming soon...

Mine definitely has some. Doesn't bother me a ton but if there is a fix, I definitely would want it... did you ask your SC?

Thanks, and sorry to hear that. Wonder if they feel like this occurs at it too frequently given all our reports. Given also occurs on drivers side (and not any real reason it should isolate tonoassenger) I guess I'll continue to just pray every time I put it down that it comes back up!

Agree--actually after I had my seat replaced, I got a call a week later saying my part arrived. I was like, uh, I don't need another one you guys just replaced it last week.

Hmm good question, I think conservatively 330ish wh/mi then when on the 5 going north/south to LA in typical socal temperatures. Normal day-to-day driving going to work and stuff we average 355 wh/mi I think.
