Yes, the message said something along the lines of "AP/TACC disabled, may be due to Radar obstruction". It's the first time I've seen this message in 18 months of ownership. I was on 2017.50.2, so it could be relatively new, but around since at least late last year.

I got that issue on 2017.50.2, so I think it's been there for a while. Front nose was covered by very gritty/dirty snow and AP/TACC was unavailable.

18 months sounds very reasonable to me. If you purchase the yearly service plan, Tesla changes the batteries for you every 12 months. I couldn't find the batteries at most retailers, so I just ordered CR-2354 from Amazon.

Looks photoshopped to me. Very much doubt that can be implemented as shown, since those dimensions wouldn't work with all the HVAC and electronics in the rear. Those lower compartments would be significantly smaller.

I find the car over-head status to be good enough. It shows clouds around my vehicle and exactly how close they are. I use the distance all the time to determine how close I want to park. Mind you, I've never owned a vehicle with overhead view, so I'm not sure what I'm missing.

Maybe this is the OTA update required in the car for the app to work. If so, there should be an App update soon...

That makes sense. The 3 months I had AutoPreset=OFF was in 2016, so prior to this change. I agree that they should de-couple this setting, although at the moment it doesn't affect me.

It probably was removed or never implemented. If you refer to the latest version of the Model-X manual, those instructions have been removed.

AutoPilot is the perfect description. Musk did not invent this term, it has been used by the airline industry for many decades. Tesla's AutoPilot works similar to an airplane's auto-pilot. It's definitely not a co-pilot and if Tesla called it Co-Pilot, then it would definitely be misleading.

Tesla has already implemented a Speed Limiter. It's just not available to the general user (yet) only to Service Station. They turn it on the loaners when they give them out to customers. It limits top speed and I think max power (acceleration) too.

I have mine near the top, as close to the trim as possible. Works fine there, never hand any issues. It's also a cleaner look since the cable is as short as possible coming out of the trim.

There is a sensor on the roof of the X in between the FWD doors. The roof sensor is used when both the FWD and trunk open. If you open the FWD in your garage and then over-ride it on the main console, you can select "Always Open Fully at this location". This will tell the X to mostly ignore...

I can attest that this option indeed leaves marks. It can last days after you remove it. Also, even in it's most compressed configuration, it was too big. So I had to remove the vertical bars, cut it down a few inches and drill a new hole (for the adjustment screw) and put it all back together.

FWIW, I've driven a couple of hours with 3 mountain bikes (2 carbon, 1 steel). I didn't weigh the total, but I would guess it would be 130 lbs including the Thule Apex rack. This was with 20" wheels. Absolutely no issues.

There are many scenarios where one may want to drive with the door open. For example, if you want to back up and stick your head out the door to visually look at a particular obstacle. Or having the FWD open during a parade. You can't lock things down so much that the car becomes an obstacle...

Auto-extending mirrors are a visual sign that the car is unlocked. If you have the retractable spoiler, that too is another sign. Personally, I like it that the mirrors/spoiler reflect the state of the car.

I've noticed on mine that when I signal left, the left-side illuminates. Same with signalling right, the right-side illuminates. No need to turn the steering wheel.
