Nope, though I don't think the Model 3 ever included that. The trunk is carpeted already.

That's what I was thinking. When I saw my VIN a few weeks back was in the same range as multiple people with P3D-, I thought maybe I'd have an AWD with the 980 to break the trend. But that wasn't the case.

Picked up my LR AWD today! I was so nervous about panel gaps, paint quality, etc, but everything looks excellent. I don't think I've ever scrutinized or looked over a new car so much for gap or paint issues.

Carpet floor mats and carpet frunk mat are included. No more USB charging cables or NEMA 14-50 adapter for the included Mobile Connector on any Model 3.

Cool to see a bit of a pattern emerging. I’m curious to see what my LR AWD has when it’s delivered in a few weeks, mainly because my VIN seems very close to several of the P- models around.

I’m likely in the minority, but I use a lot of HomeKit devices through my iPhone & Apple Watch. One of them is a garage door opener (MyQ and then the HomeKit bridge) with some rules/automation through the Home app. I have it set so that when I leave or arrive home it closes/opens the garage door...

Agreed - that's a good thought too. Set the HPWC to max for the car (48A for LR & 60A circuit) and then adjust it in the car if you want or need to dial it down for whatever reason. The wiring is the biggest thing though. Better to future proof that more than anything else, especially if its...

If you have a 50A breaker you can set the HPWC to run at 40A (remember, maximum continuous output should not exceed 80% of the circuit breaker’s capability). There’s a lot of options on the dial for the HPWC. Can even set it to 36A (45A breaker)

I was speaking with a sales rep at Tesla earlier today, he surprised me when he said a certain batch of orders were automatically updated to the new pricing. He said even the ones very close to delivery they'll update the pricing for but it'll be a more manual process.

Just curious - did you call Tesla to find out about this?

Well, now I’m torn. Placed my order 3 days ago (in Canada). My build including taxes is ~$3500 less now. And Performance had a significant drop in price, could move to a Performance model for ~$4500 CAD more than what my AWD order is at.

Lol I did a nearly identical spreadsheet in numbers and went back and forth for a month over which model to get. The SR+ getting the 5K federal incentive just really drives a significant difference in price for it compared to LR RWD/AWD. Did you end up placing your order yet?

Depends on where you are in Canada (some provincial incentives can come into play and taxes vary), but in Ontario the difference from SR+ to LR RWD post tax (including the $5000 Federal Incentive) is about $12,800 CAD.

No - in Canada the AWD is about $7000 more (before tax). The equivalent dual motor option (same paint and wheel upgrade) is $73,590 (+ 1280 freight).

66,400 CAD for red with 19’s. This was in Oakville. There’s a few of them there, you can find them listed here: Tesla Inventory List - Find your next car Those prices include any options. Basically just need to add the $1280+$10 fees, or whatever it is they add on for freight.

FWIW - there’s been a handful of LR RWD in Canada, I even test drove one and spent some time looking at another that was configured with exactly what I would want (colour, wheels). They show up in their internal systems as new cars with the new pricing setup (Autopilot included and FSD an option).

FWIW, I’ve been to the Oakville store a bunch of times recently, and I’ve seen several white interiors - and all of them were either dual motor or performance. Actually one was LR RWD as well.

That’s a great point as well. Where I am FSD would be ~$9000 including sales tax. If planning on switching the car a few years down the road that’s a significant chunk of $ that could be saved or used in the future.

I imagine another option would be to keep a lightning to USB adapter in the car, and plug any USB drive into it when wanting to view on your iPhone/iPad?

OP - I’m also in Canada and thinking about the $7900 FSD option (though I haven’t ordered my Model 3 just yet). While I have had time to try it out, I did like NOA, auto lane change, and auto park quite a lot. But I think I’m going to wait a bit to see what other changes come to it. It is nice...

FWIW, I received the same info in Canada. The store reps and manager didn’t have clear info on whether a new LR RWD order could be placed, and they reached out to head office / Fremont and got a reply that you can indeed place a new order.

You’re right, it does include the browser, satellite view maps and live traffic. And I agree, I’d happily pay just for access to live traffic on the maps. I’m so used to it on my current car and really couldn’t go back.

At first I was going back and forth between SR+ and LR AWD, and the tax-in difference was nearly $21K CAD. Then when going to the store and doing some test drives I learned they have a few LR RWD models around for test drives, and a handful in inventory. Not sure if they're still manufacturing...

I'm in Canada and torn between SR+ and LR RWD. ~$12,700 difference after tax and the current federal rebate. Feels a bit stupid that the connectivity is driving most of my want to go for LR.

As someone who’s been washing cars for 20+ years using essentially a single bucket method, my mind is kind of blown right now haha. When I get my Model 3 I’m going to have to make some good changes with how I take wash and take care of it.
