Model 3 Reservation Numbers Appearing in My Tesla

Same thing here. Reserved ~10:15am yesterday in Palo Alto, got the confirmation email around 3am this morning, but still nothing in MyTesla.

    Let's do a spreadsheet for the 31st!

Tempted to head down to Seaside and reserve there (probably a much shorter line), but ultimately I'm ending up at the Palo Alto store to drop of my dad's Model S for service and reserve my own Model 3.

Any Signature Model X owners NOT receive their car yet?

Not so sure about that. I know Edmunds bought one for their long-term fleet, and as far as I know, it still hasn't been delivered yet. Tesla is probably putting theirs through extra QA tests before releasing it.

    Autoblog Model X Review

Looks like Randy shared his Model X to the Autoblog guys as well... Tesla Model X P90D First Drive Similar to the EverydayDriver review, the reviewer did question the necessity of the falcon-wing doors, and it was interesting to hear that Tesla proactively replaced the door actuators as well...

Proposed Model 3 Reservation Process Solutions

If they are trying to sync with CA, I'm guessing they won't start accepting orders until 1pm given that would be 10am out here, which is when the stores/galleries typically open (unless they plan on opening an hour earlier on the 31st for some reason).

Proposed Model 3 Reservation Process Solutions

This option crossed my mind as well. The only potential issue that I saw with this approach is that people won't get their specific RN# right when they reserve. I'm sure Tesla could just tell people that official RN#s will be issued 24 hours later so that they can compile and order everything...

Proposed Model 3 Reservation Process Solutions

I apologize for not adding a note regarding international reservations. As some have mentioned, the international markets (e.g. Europe and Canada, even) already have their own distinct set of reservation numbers, and Tesla typically doesn't start delivering vehicles to those other markets until...

Proposed Model 3 Reservation Process Solutions

I apologize in advance for the long post. I needed something to distract my mind while I went on a long(ish) run this afternoon, and solving the great problem of the Model 3 reservation process is what my mind settled on. Here are the possible solutions that I came up with. Feel free to critique...

90D ordered, now rumors of 100D

It may be worthwhile to check with sales to see if you could pay the $500 fee to change options after you confirmed your order. That way you can get the new base wheel and save $2,000.

Get ready for a *lot* of crap on Forbes

    Super Bowl 50 Tickets?

Yup. Obviously, hoping to set something up outside of that due to the various fees those resale sites collect. On StubHub, for example, sellers are charged 15% and buyers are charged 10%. On a ticket listed at $3k, that means StubHub collects ~$750, which leaves a nice middle ground for a seller...

    AWD vs RWD vs FWD

Agree 100%. Looking at BMW/Audi/MB, the price premium for AWD is ~$2k USD on their base model. If Tesla made that the price difference I might would choose AWD, but it'd actually depend more for me on the difference in frunk cargo space (if it goes from being reasonably sized to non-existent...

Seeing a lot of BMW electrics in my area...

Part of it may be (at least in the Bay Area) due to the pretty subsidized lease deal Weatherford BMW is offering. Their range-extender deal nets out to ~$0.27/mi, which puts it pretty on par with the Volt, C-Max and Fusion Energis, etc. You can see the best lease deals around CA for the...

Vehicle is No Longer Available-LAST PRICE DROP BEFORE TRADING IT IN- REDUCED $19,700- 2010 ROADSTER

I believe CPO Roadsters came with a 37 month/37,000 mile warranty that started when you took possession of the car, so based on the 53kwh's description, I'd think that there'd still be about 10 more months of warranty left (not sure on miles, but unless the seller bought it with ~1k miles on it...

Model S Nose Cone Mod by accident

One of my biggest pet peeves is client-facing emails with grammatical errors; it's just not professional. Teaser video of next week's reveal...from the brief shot of the wheels, it seems pretty low to the ground, so I'm thinking it's a sportscar of some sort. https://twitter.com/FaradayFuture/status/682253651520262144 Note: This is a different teaser video than the one Lump posted about a week ago.

Thats an incredibly generous offer adelman (and I'm surprised people aren't already jumping at the opportunity). Can't say I'm up for organizing it, but would definitely be interested in going if the logistics work out on my end and would be more than happy to chip in to a pizza/beer fund.

    Fiat 500e EV

Suggestions for 3 day road trip

Granted, this would be pushing it from a mileage perspective (and maybe even content-wise too), but going from Fremont to the Pebble Beach area, then down Highway 1 to San Simeon/San Luis Obispo (which would take you through Big Sur), and then back up 101 to Fremont would be ~400 miles. The...

    OWNING A MODEL X: Mark Templeton's impressions!

I would agree on the whole to this, except for the fact that there are so few AWD minivans on the market these days (I think the Sienna is the only one offering that option). Back in the mid-2000s GM did offer their minivans with AWD, but they were of such poor quality, it's not surprising that...

Not sure when this was added, but seems a bit odd to me. 2013 P85+ with 41k miles and apparently it's never been titled (lists both a before and after EV incentive price--for reference, the after incentive price is $67,520). It's also fully loaded except for the panoramic roof. I'm guessing this...

    Frustrations with door locks

I'm hoping you're making this statement just in the context of unlocking/locking doors. I'd really prefer that the car not obey the driver in all situations (accelerator and brake pedal depressed at the same time, maintaining an unsafe speed set by the driver when approaching another car, etc.).

    Model X vs Volvo XC90

Just finished watching the MotorTrend live stream of the 2016 'of the Year' awards (don't get me started on how bad Adam Carolla was as the host), and the XC90 took the golden calipers home for the SUV category (Colorado for the Truck and Camaro for the Car in case anyone was wondering). Tesla Store at Stanford Shopping Center

This location hasn't popped up yet on Tesla's site, but it looks like it's opening tomorrow (Saturday, Nov 7th). Speed ticket in Fremont

From my understanding, there's a variety of reasons. Toll/red light cameras are one (in my experience, toll cameras can take photos from both the front and back of a car, so having both just increases the likelihood that one will turn out clear). Another is so police can more easily identify...

Supercharger - Truckee, CA - Brockway Road (8 V2 stalls)

While the difference wouldn't be huge (~10min), for those that do have a house on the West Shore, it would be less convenient than the Safeway location (1st world problem...). Supercharger - Truckee, CA - Brockway Road (8 V2 stalls)

I'd guess that the Gigafactory definitely has something to do with it. Reactions to Model X reveal event

It's not competing against the Q5 though. It's competing against the X5, GLE, and Q7 which has respective towing capacities of 6,000, 7,200, and 5,500, respectively. The XC90, which is only offered with a 4 cylinder powertrain, offers a 5,000 towing capacity. The X's is certainly competitive...
