I am not sure you mentioned, what was your order date and what was your EDD before the VIN? asking as a fellow Milwaukee friend who just wants their car.

I feel like it has been oddly quiet with VINs today compared to the last couple of days. I was hoping for it to rain VINs today, I feel like so many people are right on the cusp of getting one....according to the misleading, untrustworthy EDD.

Um I thought we all had our own personal tracker. As you can see today marks the start of my original 9-13 weeks estimate. I am in the process of setting up more charts but I will not be sharing my full data because then everyone will see how sick I am for trying to make sense of their EDD process

Based on previous quarters, the last month is generally for west coast deliveries. You will see inventory and VIN reassignments happen elsewhere but generally speaking September will be reserved for west coast deliveries.

Seeing how it is 8:01 and outside of “October Bloodbath” my EDD has never changed later than 7:54 am, I am going to say I have no EDD change today. Still sitting at 8/21-9/10 Edit: I fixed my EDD to the correct 8/21-9/10 from 8/21-9/7

That is 100% it. They are telling you whatever will make you happy to get you through to the next week and not cancel your order. For example, my SA is super responsive and nice. But she has been telling me August 15th at the latest, why? because I told her that I need a car before September...

Usually the daily EDD change happens by now so I think I am still stuck at October. Yay. My SA still keeps telling nothing has changed and mid August is the timeframe and when asked about the shortage I was told the shortages haven’t affected my order. We will see about that.

We are keeping our forester, it is our second one and I got rid of my Subaru Legacy last year because we were both working from home so we sold it and used the money. If Subaru had an electric car, we probably would have really considered. We have been very pleased with our Subarus.

Typical, keep your dates at a constant 12 days and keep your window at 15 days….but when the time comes, you have 3 days. It would be nice if the customer had a little say.

Ok with the MYP at 7-9 weeks, M3P at 6-9 weeks and M3SR at 8-14 weeks makes me feel like it is more of a demand issue than a parts issue, makes me feel a little better.

Yeah in my opinion I wouldn't worry about it, that is a fresh one off the line. I bet it was a financing thing fell through or someone changed their mind and cancelled or ordered something else. I bet you happened to order at the exact right time. Congrats

Man the Model 3 and Model Y pages are erroring out for me. But either the shortage is worse than Elon's tone suggests, or their is huge demand or most likely, both. I really hope that I am matched with a VIN before the end of August, otherwise who knows when I will be matched.

You are one of those unfortunate ones that has had the rug pulled out from them multiple times. I hope this one sticks. Congrats on the VIN, Tesla needs to do better about the multiple VIN thing.
