Mine did the same thing, said mobile access denied until the day it was actually delivered, then it diappeared for a little while.

It happened! AJ drove the car over about an hour ago. This was his third car delivery ever, so I’m guessing they are staffing up folks to do home deliveries. Haven’t gotten to do s good walk around, will have to do it tomorrow.

Does anyone know if they call to give you a heads up on home delivery or they just show up? I was told by service my car is in Dedham getting snow tires but haven’t heard anything on delivery yet.

Is yours still in that lot in RI the whole time? I wonder if they are keeping the cars charged at all. 3 weeks is a long time after all the travel of getting here.

I’m not sure it’s anxiety as much as overpromising and under delivering with zero communication. The only way I can get any info or even talk to someone is to go down there early in the day. I already went there yesterday and was assured my car would be delivered home today so we shall see :)

I just launched my Tesla app and found my car was no longer associated with my account. Should I be worried? I still have the VIN on the website but now with a December delivery.

I’m still really confused how they don’t know what cars get loaded each day. What if they just never load someone’s because new cars keep arriving!

Did you have any luck? I’m a little frustrated that when I came in to sign my RMV-1 they didn’t have my car and promised Sunday/Monday home delivery. That clearly didn’t happen yesterday and now I can’t get anyone on the phone and it just goes to a full mailbox.

I wonder how many times that person has been through this adventure and waited for a car that didn’t work out. I think @Toddsquad likely has a few times. I’m actually a bit relieved about the home delivery, means I won’t have to go back and wait again at Dedham.

What caused the new VIN assignment?

Has anyone who has a Friday/Saturday appointment to do the rmv-1 but ended up with home delivery gotten any details as to when? They told me Sunday or Monday for the delivery but were vague when I asked for specifics. I’d assume they actually want to deliver the car quickly!

Could have been worse. I spent 90 minutes waiting to sign a 5 minute form and most of time waiting. I’m now waiting to get home delivery because while I had an appointment my car wasn’t there.

Was interesting. When I arrivied they said the car was here. Then after 20 minutes of waiting they said it was in Rhode Island. In the end I waited 90 minutes to sign 5 minutes worth of loan and rmv info and went home. They said they would contact me for home delivery over the next two days.

It’s kind of a mad house here now but they have confirmed my car is here so it’s just waiting till I get my turn!

That’s exactly how it went for me. I’m picking up tomorrow and my agent got everything a few hours ago.

I called the number listed here: Dedham | Tesla They were able to confirm my car was on their lot in rhode island. I’m guessing they drive the deliveries up that morning and deliver them since they can’t store them overnight.

I got the same call but they moved me to Friday at 4:30. They told me the same thing about the closed lot and my car being in RI.

It took a little while to get through but when I did they were super friendly and helpful!!

I just spoke to them, you guys got me nervous. They are holding cars in lots elsewhere and reconfirmed my car is in one of those lots.

Now that I’ve got a VIN I’m trying to figure out insurance. Do you know who my agent should talk to to get an RMV-1? Not sure if it’s the service center or my IDA.

I’m actually not sure if I’ve texted with an IDA or not. They just helped me with the scheduling and some tire questions. I did get my VIN by ordering winter tires to be delivered and timed the pickup.

Those who are now waiting for their pickup have you been interacting with people from Nevada (I think IDA?) or folks from Dedham?

Definitely! I know next to nothing about painting and transporting cars but since all car companies do it you would think it’s fairly reliable by now. I do wonder how many other cars have this and dealers are cleaning up/repainting the cars before they are seen.

And a free paint job!! The winter tires/wheels they’ve got for me won’t fit either!
