Michelin Pilot Sport 4s Model X Fitment

I can't speak to the handling as I'm self taught and really use Google and trial and error to look into this stuff - staggered fitments, etc. I found the website Tire Height Calculator very helpful. There, you can pull up the 22" tires and it'll show you their diameters affecting the height...

Michelin Pilot Sport 4s Model X Fitment

Figured I’d share my recent experience purchasing aftermarket 22” Ohm wheels and tires for a ‘21 Model X Long Range. The Ohm Proton 9x22 and 10.5x22” wheels fit however the Pilot Super Sports in 265/40x22” were just a hair too tall to fit under the upper control arm. I had to change the...

19" TST Tesla Wheels - Gray - Used - For sale - Good Condition

Yeah, there weren’t too many aftermarket options at the time specifically manufactured with the Tesla specs in mind, including the proper load ratings so these helped me get down to the 19” from the 21” OEM I think they were which were more practical as a company car.

19" TST Tesla Wheels - Gray - Used - For sale - Good Condition

Here’s what the manufacturer site says and from memory, this is accurate. I had a 2015 S and purchased these after another non-Tesla aftermarket manufacturer’s website said their wheels would fit but the offset didn’t work.

19" TST Tesla Wheels - Gray - Used - For sale - Good Condition

Looks like 245/45 19s for the tires. Firestone Indy500s. I’ll include the tires and mode S OEM lugs with caps at no charge. Trying to free up garage space. These were on a business vehicle that was sold. Tires have about 30k miles on them. I’ll look back to see if my receipt has the rim...

Breaking down the excessive rear, inner tire wear

Hey, the linked worked and all that green looks beautiful! A wrinkle in my story - I woke up the morning after my alignment with a flat rear tire - there was part of a razor blade lodged in the tread. First flat since I’ve had the car - weird timing, right? Anyway, I took the car to a...

Breaking down the excessive rear, inner tire wear

Thanks for sharing the info. I'm looking forward to your update in the future to see how your rear tires hold up after using your alignment settings. I just went to a chain service center that I've used before with no complaints to have an alignment done. I'm walking away learning about this...

    21” Grey Turbine Wheels & Tires x 4 - MS OEM

I dont know for sure but yes, I’d assume there are probably 25k on the 3 continentals. Likely less on the 4th Hankook. Just uploaded photos of the treads.

    Tesla Used Inventory Down 30%?

The used S prices that have risen now compared to similarly spec’d cars just a quarter or 2 ago in my eyes tilts the scale of value towards a new 3 and away from the used S inventory for those potential customers within the 40-50k price range. Whether or not the used pricing hike is related to...

    Tesla Used Inventory Down 30%?

In and around Feb ‘19 when searching for Model S around $45K and less, with under 30k mileage, I remember there being 60 or so available in FL. 0-2 of those at anytime were facelift from what I recall. I may be off a bit with that memory but in a more general sense they were definitely far and...

Blog Tesla Suffers Exec Departures Amid Aggressive Product Roadmap

I agree with most points and sentiment. I've been thinking along the lines of point #1 to elaborate a bit. One would think there may only be so many execs out there with real world experience that includes bringing EVs to mass production so I'd imagine Tesla's execs who have said experience...

    Tesla Used Inventory Down 30%?

What's up with Asia/Pacific and Europe regions both showing about 2x the amount of used S available compared to USA via Ev-cpo? (Canada well behind all) Does it speak to supply/demand on all fronts or something else?

    Tesla Used Inventory Down 30%?

Thanks for the reference. Never did search for a used 3. It was a matter of new 3 vs. used S for myself. They've said they intend to keep the leased 3s for their robotaxi fleet when that time comes. Can't imagine they'd want used 3s floating around though to compete with the new sales numbers.

    Tesla Used Inventory Down 30%?

I can't comment to the replenishment of CPOs other than the fact that they were replenished in late March after I was looking for a couple of months. But how's this for conspiracy - when searching for a used S, I would normally search on my personal cell phone and request photos from that phone...

(Possible) Fitment issues stepping down TO 19" FROM 21" OEM wheels

Loving the ride on 19s. Much smoother. As far as a performance goes, I've noticed more of a change with the regen and breaking strength compared to acceleration. It doesn't seem to grip as hard right away when I let up. Maybe it was the rain earlier in the day or added weight with the new...

(Possible) Fitment issues stepping down TO 19" FROM 21" OEM wheels

Returned the 19s and reordered from a different site that had the proper offset for plenty of clearance. A week later, they let me know the manufacturer rated the wheels something minimal, maybe like 5lbs less, per wheel than Tesla's wheel requirements. Had enough runaround at that point so I...

    Tesla Used Inventory Down 30%?

Late to party here but this thread matches what I've noticed. I bought a 2015 model S in early April when prices and inventory were dropping as opposed to waiting for June to roll around to see if post facelift 2016 leases started becoming more populous 36 months later. Given the prices on the...

(Possible) Fitment issues stepping down TO 19" FROM 21" OEM wheels

@Russell this calculator should be helpful to compare the OEM 19"s to those that I have now without actually having them around. 4mm makes all the difference in this case! Can't imagine that's all too difficult to solve. Thanks linkster! Looks like Tampa Bay is representing on the Florida...

(Possible) Fitment issues stepping down TO 19" FROM 21" OEM wheels

Thanks, I appreciate the viewpoints. Yeah, I'll follow up with the custom wheel shop for some more insight. Looking at the Tsportline version of the arachnids in 19" that I'm partial to - they're an 8.5" width also but have a +35 offset. Sounds like I'm off at least 3mm of clearance from...

(Possible) Fitment issues stepping down TO 19" FROM 21" OEM wheels

Hey everyone. This forum has been a godsend in the lead up to purchasing my first Tesla. A '15 Model S 70D, last week. So a thank you to everyone for the invaluable information indexed and shared on here. I just took the car to an auto repair franchise that has treated me well in the past...
